"We took japanese style bedroom but the futons were super thin so uncomfortable. The private onsen was a bit smelly making the experience less enjoyable. For the travel to reach the place, we struggle little to go by bus. For the positive, the staff was amazing and helpful, the breakfast has lot of varieties for everyone. The room was super clean, spacious and very beautiful. Spending time with dogs around was lovely... what an amazing concept hotel."

"We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. The building is old and reminded me of the railroad lodges of the western United States: creaky old doors and floors, metal keys, and rotary dial phones. "101号室に宿泊しましたが6畳の和室と3ベッドの洋室（セパレートのバス、トイレに出入り可能）でとても快適でした。和室からは庭がみえ、とても落ち着いた雰囲気でした。高山駅とさんまち（古い街並み）の中間くらいに位置しており、近くに飲食店も多く、街歩きにも最適でした。改善点は、せっかくゆとりのあるレイアウトなので部屋の広さがわかるようweb表記して欲しいです。（中庭や和室が6畳あるのは入室して初めて確認できました）あと、和室の電気が白色LED電球のみでかなり薄暗く、ここは早期に改善された方が良い思います。"
