This is a HOSTEL, not hotel. We probably wouldn't have booked here if we would have known before. The front desk is on the first floor, the staff helps with heavy luggage. During our stay, breakfast was changed from buffet style to plates (which had to be chosen the day before)

You can’t do much better than this when staying in Takayama. Right next to the station and walking distance to key attractions. The family suite was amazing and my daughters loved the camping play room and projector. The breakfast was perfect and the staff couldn’t be any more helpful. Great value stay!

Nice and affordable hotel. It offers plenty of amenities and spacious, fully equipped rooms that provide a sense of security and comfort, with alternative options available if needed. The only aspect that could be improved is the breakfast — with a few fresh touches and small enhancements, it could become truly satisfying and elevate the overall hospitality experience. Highly recommended. A pleasant stay overall.

This property exceeded our expectations. It’s new, great for children. The breakfast was good. The location superior, I would not hesitate to recommend a stay here. Everything is well thought out and the family suites with a backyard are a great addition. Staff is always welcoming and hopeful.

Beautiful new property everything was clean. We had the large family room. Walkable to Takayama sights. My kids loved this hotel and thought it was the best one they have stayed in during this trip around Japan. I would highly recommend this place.

Very nice hotel, great value in a great setting. The children absolutely loved the amenities. Clean and great breakfast as well. Highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

This place is across the street from the train station in the town. It was so cute, and all the staff were so helpful. I strongly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Takayama!

We loved our stay here - our room was large and comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast was excellent. Location was perfect - so close to the station but also walkable distance to all the main sights. Only downside to our room was that there are no windows to open and the one window was frosted. Beware that while there are lifts inside, it’s about 30 steps up to reception which can make for a challenging time with luggage!

Friendly cozy stay close to everything

A super friendly stay with all the necessary amenities and more. Breakfast had extensive selection to suit all tastes (rice ball machine and to-order yakitori sticks were a fabulous surprise and very delicious. Close proximity to rail station made getting there and around super easy.

The property is right in front of Takayama station and accessible by car. There are coin parking lots nearby as well as souvenir shops. Plenty of dining options as well around the area. We had the opted for breakfast at the hotel and it was very well organized with a selection of Japanese and Western food, very much enjoyed the pancakes and yakitori that were cooked to order.

We booked a family suite and it was perfect. So comfortable it came with everything we needed and more. The room is very big and they were generous with complimentary drinks and amenities. Our kid had so much fun in the camp room with projector we did not want to leave. Will definitely recommend this place

Clean Hotel With Perks — Just Know There’s NO ELEVATOR/LIFT While the hotel listing does mention there’s no elevator, it’s not emphasized enough — and it should be. Check-in is on the second floor, and there’s no lift from the ground floor. Many guests, including myself, were surprised and had to carry heavy luggage up the stairs. This detail should be made more prominent in the booking information. The room is clean and spacious, and the hotel offers thoughtful amenities. There’s free use of the washer and dryer (with soap provided), and the dryer works better than most other hotels I’ve stayed at. The fridge in the room is stocked with complimentary drinks — water, juice, soda, and beer — and there are also free personal care items available. Breakfast is included, but because the dining area is small, guests are assigned scheduled breakfast times. Despite that, the breakfast has a good variety of food to choose from. The one major downside for me was room security. Although the door has a lock, it didn’t work, and there’s no safety latch. The door also opens outward, which made me feel uneasy. Overall, it’s a clean and convenient place to stay with generous amenities, but the lack of elevator access and the room security issue are things to be aware of before booking.

Excellent service, the lobby is in the second floor and there is no elevator, they were more than willing to help with luggage. Items in refrigerator were free to guest, loundry also free. The room was clean spacious beautiful just beautifully. Breakfast was very good, the best part of breakfast in my opinion, was the Ice cream that was available for breakfast. Overall it was a great, great experience.

Great hotel w/ free use of washing machine & dryer

Pros: 1) just across the train station & bus centre 2) big room - comes with cooking utensils, microwave & fridge with free beverages 3) if you dont need them to clean the room, they give you a complimentary item (choice of free snacks or drink) (note: you can still request for new towels) 4) room rate covers breakfast (they do very nice pancakes on the spot if you want). Also has an onigiri machine 5) can use the washing machine and dryer without any charges 6) staff are helpful and cheerful especially those that i encountered during breakfast. Also they can help you arrange for luggage delivery to your next destination/hotel 7) free black coffee at the reception area plus 3 types of sake which you can try/taste too Cons: 1) they do not have a website nor email - reply is relatively slow when i made enquiry via the hotels.com message app 2) reception is on 2nd floor so you have to carry your luggage up. However, they do have a signage on 1st floor that says press the bell if you need the staff to help. Luckily, there's an elevator inside the hotel for rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors Overall, very pleasant stay. I will definitely recommend it to others
