Highly recommend. Two minutes walk to JR. Less than ten minutes walk to morning market. Very kind staff. Parking not free but indoor and totally safe. Plenty of dining options nearby.
Good option for Takayama as it is close to the railway station. Rooms are western style in bigger than the average Japanese hotel room. Did not have breakfast and the spa was out of order so cannot comment on these items
a good location to stay, many good restaurants and good quality of hotel, clean and comfort, but the hotel car park cannot allow large vehicle (for example, alphard) to park in, need to go for coin in parking place.
I enjoyed my stay; the room was great and had a nice view of nearby mountains. The staff were wonderful and the breakfast was great. No negatives I can think of.
Pretty much the best hotel we stayed during our trip in japan. A short walk from the bus station and 15 minutes walk from the tourist attraction. I would book again if we go to takayama again
Great hotel near the train station. Was a great night. Especially good to take a tour through takayama or getting to shirakawago (just 3 min walk to trainstation or bus station). Very clean and very helpful and nice hotel employees.
We stayed in 2 x twin rooms for family of 4. Room size is quite decent for Japanese standards. Reasonably priced. Very near to Takayama Train Station and walking distance (5-10mins) to nearby tourist districts.
Check in and check-out were a breeze. Helpful, friendly staff. Just around the corner from Takayama station.
Room was immaculately clean. Bed was very comfortable. Shower pressure was amazing and tons of hot water for a soak in the tub after.

Very nice location to discover Takyama. Very close to the train station. Comfortable bed. Only the bathroom is a bit dated, therefore it doesn’t look that clean.

Like other reviewers have said, the hotel is fine. It's in a good location, near the train station and not a bad walk to the old town.
However, it's one of those older buildings that can either have air conditioning or heat and does not have air conditioning from November to April. We were there in early November and the days were warm. Our room was on the sunny side of the building and it really heated up during the day. The building's heat was on and we were hot in the room. The area is quiet and we were able to sleep with the window open which made it somewhat bearable at night but be we chose the hotel because it advertised air conditioning which they did not have.
Hotel is pricey, because it's in a touristic area. The room is pretty clean, but I was unlucky to have gotten a room that has a persistent pee smelling toilet.
There is no microwave in the room, and the little fridge is standard size. The microwave is shared and is located near the receptionist area.
There is NO laundry facility at this hotel.
The free coffee is not that great!
The staff (receptionists and room service ladies) are EXCELLENT -- very friendly and helpful.
The misty sauna is GREAT -- no towels provided. Must bring your room's towels, but the room service ladies are happy to provide you new towels next day.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Takayama Station, and like other hotels, is surrounded by many restaurants -- touristic ones. There is a BOSS SUPER MARKET nearby (1/4 mile walk), and it has a lot of stuff.
Ask the receptionist if you need a 3-prong-to-2-prong power adapter.

The hotel hot springs/public bath were closed. The rest of the hotel met expectations.
A lovely hotel for a really affordable price. Literally across the road from Takayama train station and conveniently located for the main streets of Takayama.
We enjoyed a three night stay while touring the greater Gifu area.
The hotel is a bit older but is very well maintained. Everything is spotless, like most places in Japan. Comfortable room, including its size, bed/bedding.
Very good breakfast value. Most importantly a real automatic European coffee maker with a strong roasted bean. And it’s available for free all day.
