If it's your first time travelling during COVID-19  you'll notice a raft of new standards and rules in place. Follow these tips and make your escape to Heybeliada go off without a hitch:

• Research the rules and restrictions in both your origin and destination. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you lock something in.
• When you go through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be required to lower it briefly for ID purposes. Passengers who refuse to wear a mask may be fined and denied boarding.
• Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA employee. Rather, you should place the pass on the scanner and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on bag. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to take it out of your bag for X-ray screening.
• Place any personal items (phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on rather than a bin to reduce handling during the screening process.
• Transport any food items in a clear plastic bag and also put them in a screening bin. Separating food from your carry-on makes it less likely that a TSA agent will need to open and touch your bag for inspection.
