"We've stayed here 4 times now, I think. It's a nice place in the price range we needed. We arrived late, and they called to let us know they would put our key in the lockbox. One big problem that is easily solved is that the street light comes into the room VERY bright! Use an eye mask. Definitely use an eye mask!! This time the continental breakfast left much to be desired - not many choices. I wonder if that's hit-or-miss? The bed wasn't the most comfortable - kind of hard and flat. The pillows were huge and puffy. I fixed it the second day by putting a pillow under my knees and sleeping on my back, then it was fine. It's very convenient to Old Town Durango, which is a reason to stay. The railroad depot has a free museum. It's terrific! FREE! I highly recommend it, and it's nearly right next door to the hotel. Parking is difficult in the lot if it's busy, but Friday evening to Sunday, you can park in metered spaces free of charge."

"Sad that the room was up a flight of stairs. The mattress had a deep sunken side, but oddly enough was comfortable for one person. The room was newly updated and very pleasant with a full sized refrigerator/freezer, full size oven, microwave, nice glass table top, 4 chairs, a tub/shower, great mirror lighting, and raised bathroom sink with fancy water spigot, and 2 plastic chairs and table on the balcony outside. It was spacious and clean. Housekeeping came each day and emptied trash, made beds (2) and replaced towels. No kitchen equipment or dishware or dish soap provided. I travel with mine, so no problem for me. Loved that the freezer compartment could keep ice cream to use for our 3 night stay."

"Generally the hotel overall does need a bit of a face-lift. It is quite dated! However my husband and I had a very spacious room, with a small refrigerator, a microwave and a small terrace leading to the river and river walk. Very quiet and scenic! The hotel is dog friendly, many dogs were there, but sound proofing must be good, because we never heard any noise. Our room would have been perfect for a doggie family, Bruno could go straight to the grass, without going through the hotel. If you plan to use the microwave, take your own microwaveable containers, none are provided."

"This is a older hotel and does not have a lot of space in the room, but the room was very adequate for us. Nice size bed and plenty of space in bathroom. The four star was due to the check-in person. We all have a bad moment at times. Nice location and quiet which surprised me. I would stay there again."
