"The hotel was clean and in a great location. IMy only disappointment was the time of breakfast . The breakfast starts at 6:30. We had early tours and an early flight. So we only had breakfast one of the days we were there. Suggest having to go options."

"I stayed at this hotel for 7 days and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I travel frequently for both business and leisure and often choose Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties because they are usually reliable. This stay, however, fell well below my expectations. The most concerning issue was cleanliness and safety. On one occasion, a piece of glass fell from the sink area when I moved my hairdryer. It landed near my foot and, fortunately, did not cause an injury, but it was sharp enough that someone could have easily been hurt, especially in a bathroom where guests are often barefoot. The following day, I found another piece of glass hidden inside a folded towel. I didn’t notice it until I cut my finger while using the towel. Finding glass in a supposedly clean towel was extremely alarming. There were also several housekeeping issues throughout my stay. For three consecutive days, the bathroom floor mat was placed on a bench next to our clean belongings and seating area, which seemed unhygienic and unnecessary. Additionally, one afternoon I returned from work hoping to rest before a scheduled conference call, only to find that my room had not yet been serviced. Housekeeping informed me I would need to leave the room for cleaning, but I was already on a work call. While the staff member ultimately accommodated the situation, it was still frustrating. To make matters worse, when I first checked into the room late at night after a heavily delayed"

"The check-in process was horrible, since the person speaking to me on the kiosk had unstable Internet connection and completely lost the connection a couple of times. It was very frustrating. The faucet on the bathroom sink was loose. I thought it might come apart. These are very basic accommodations, so do not expect anything more."

"Decent, bare bones, inexpensive hotel in a great central location of San Francisco. Old building, but well maintained. You can hear the noise of traffic outside, so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a basic TV, fridge and microwave. I wish they had an iron in the room. Not a 5 star hotel, but you can't beat the price for the location. I would stay here again"

"I needed a reasonable place to land my son and myself for the weekend, and FOUND Hotel Carlton, Nob Hill was perfect. It was clean and well staffed. The only issue I had was with their shabby elevators. They are old, so I get it, but it was a pain when trying to check in and out with luggage and uncooperative elevators. LOL Thanks for a great stay! Kudos to your lovely, kind and helpful staff. I loved the free coffee dispenser, too!"

"Tiny rooms but great location. Everything was clean and modern looking. Staff was available, but self check in kiosk worked fine. Security by the door made for a little extra comfort since it’s located right on market street. If location is what you need, and you won’t be spending much time in the room, this is a great option."
