"Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left. "Superb holiday home with virtually everything you need. The layout is great and our toddler enjoyed playing in the large lounge and dining area where we could keep an eye on her through the glass windows in the downstairs doors. We appreciated the books for babies and young children and lake district guides for adults. The welcome goodies were a nice touch.
