"I have stayed at the Yorkshire Hotel 4 times and always enjoyed it.This time it was ruined by the young boy on reception called joe.we checked in on Wednesday,great.Room was clean and tidy.Had a superb meal in the restaurant,then went to bed.The following morning we got up to cold showers.i rang down but phone just rang so I went down to the reception(phone still ringing) to find Joe playing on his phone instead of answering my call.i explained the situation and he said" there wasn't much he could do but would send the maid up.The maid was very nice and said sorry.we had cold showers then breakfast when leaving ,Joe said there not he could do(still no sorry) and scribbled down a e mail address then as I pulled away charged me for parking. Ruined are day."

"Fast, efficient and friendly check in service. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Car parking easily accessible and we were able to leave the car in the hotels park until 5pm on day of check out which was a bonus. Lovely clean modern hotel close to the town centre. Our room was on the 8th floor which had wonderful views over the town. The rooms were lovely and clean with everything we needed including a fridge. The super king bed was comfortable too. I can't fault this hotel especially as it was so reasonably priced too. Will certainly be staying again."

"The ground floor of the property is beautiful and very well kept with all the style of the period it was built in. The bed rooms were small but had everything you need but the floor boards are a different matter you could here every step the person in the room above took."

"Reception staff welcoming and friendly and check-in was very quick and efficient. Our Standard Double room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Excellent breakfast, as always, with quality ingredients and a variety of hot and cold options. We also had a great evening meal at the Fat Badger - the burgers were very good! Highly recommended - we always stay at the White Hart if we are spending the evening in Harrogate."

"Lift was out of order, we had a late checkin and did it as a noise bar, could hear the bar staff very well. Lift wasn’t working, had to climb 3 flights of stairs with our suitcases. Room was nice and clean. Beds lovely and comfy. Evening meal ok. Breakfast not so good, over cooked rubbery eggs, bacon very hard and dried out, overcooked, filer coffee included, other coffees at extra cost. Stayed two nights, but had breakfast out the second morning. Corridor lighting not working, including fire exit lights. Very dark at night, cleaner had to leave the storeroom door open so there was some light in the corridor. Beautiful decor in the pub and eating area, just attention required on the food and essentials like lift and lighting"
