"The room and amenities were of the highest standard. Proper Yorkshire charm and clearly a place for which the owner and staff are rightly proud. The breakfast is individually prepared, the ingredients are top notch, it is expertly cooked and presented. "

"The decor was generally OK but is very tired. Peeling wall paper, evidence of damp patches, rough looking finishing like skirting boards etc looking they had layers upon layers of paint added to them over the years. . Generally need a refresh. Hot water for showers was not available in evening after say 8pm temperature was look warm. Wi-Fi was poor, disconnecting and intermittent, better on phones 4/5G. Was made aware there was an issue getting fibre to the property. But results can be improved by fitting a UniFi UDMpro and unfi access points and managing the available wifi and guest bandwidth effectively.{works great at work} Room could have done with an addition double mains plug. Overall nice warm, comfortable place with friendly staff and food would stay again."
"Excellent staff who remember any 'regulars'. An excellent combination of the traditional with a modern update but its the sraff who make the difference...stuart irving"
"The room was spotless along with the bathroom too, and the breakfast was amazing. I would definitely recommend going there again, many thanks to your staff from Dean and Anna Kershaw."
