"Disappointing Although refurbished to a good standard, the hotel has unfortunately kept a 1930s style lift, great to look at, but quite useless as a functioning lift. Particularly useless if you’re on the fourth floor as it only goes to three. It has a metal shutter style inner door that if left open when leaving, renders the lift inoperable. In a three day stay I had to find the lift on at least six occasions to close the door as my wife needed to use it. I would therefore, not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility problems. The staff were very friendly and as helpful as they could be. Evening meals were good but kept the same menu so quite repetitive. The English breakfast was inedible. Fried egg burnt on the bottom, raw on top. Sausage with a skin so tough it was difficult to cut, and the remainder of the items had spent too long under a heat lamp so they had dried out. Great views but the hotel needs some sorting out. "

"The apartment looked tired.There is a condensation issue which is evident in all 3 rooms.Check the floor behind the bed and settee - the floor is freezing.The apartment is on the bottom floor above the concrete garage.When you take a bath or shower the bathroom floor becomes wet with condensation by the toilet.The concrete walls and floor render the heating inadequate.Has the owner slept there in winter to evidence this for themselves"

"We stayed here as a family of 6 over the October Half term. I often find that photos of holiday rentals don’t live up to the reality, but that’s not the case with Azenor. It’s spacious and very well kept. We had a couple of unavoidable maintenance issues during our stay, but the property owner was incredibly responsive and the issues were resolved really quickly. The owner is super friendly as well and keen to ensure everything is perfect. We have been holidaying in St Ives for over 30 years. I have never stayed in the same property twice. But I’m hoping that changes now as this house ticks all our boxes! Azenor will definitely be our go-to 1st preference for our future stays in beautiful St Ives."

"We booked our 3-night non-refundable reservation through Expedia and the listing said that parking was included. When we received our welcome email from the property manager we learned that the free parking was only for stays of a week or longer. The parking lot is a 10-minute walk uphill from the flat, costs £11/day. The flat is cute although small, but very quiet with a comfortable bed and well equipped galley kitchen. The shower is a ridiculous contraption with lights and sound and various spray nozzles but you will soak the floor trying to figure out how to work it, and it is so ridiculously small it’s comical. If you’re over 6’/180 cm or of a larger girth, you won’t fit in it. We enjoyed our stay in spite of these inconveniences but mostly because we really loved the town."
