    This family-friendly property features a large fenced yard and a covered outdoor dining area. Located a short walk from beautiful Hanalei Bay and also close to Hanalei town with lots of shops, restaurants, food markets and the public Kauai Bus stop. One bedroom, one and a half bath. There is a Queen bed and a single bed in the guest bedroom. The living room couches are also single beds - with sleeping for 5 guests. The Cottage comes fully equipped with a kitchen, full size washer/dryer, a flat screen Smart TV and DVD player, and WiFi. There is also a Weber charcoal grill (and a great fish market located in Hanalei town) and beach chairs, mats, and beach towels.

    As required by Interpretive Administrative Zoning Rules and Regulations, Rule 1-A, “for those transient vacation rentals located in the tsunami evacuation zone", we are informing you that transient vacation rentals located in Hanalei, Wainiha and Haena are located in the tsunami evacuation zone.

Great location

The Chung cottage allows for easy walking to the beach and Hanalei. We enjoyed the partial mountain views from the patio. We would love to stay again.

The cottage is an odd-sized and designed place but the location! and outdoor space were fantastic. A five-minute walk to Hanalei Beach as well as downtown Hanalei can’t be beat. The staff also were helpful, especially when we were deciding whether to head up from Poipu when the bad Kona Low storms were passing through. We were able to easily contact them about conditions there, which was a big help. It’s not a high-grade, modern property but the price reflects that and all the other factors make it worthwhile.

Great Location

Cottage is just a block from the beach which is a huge selling point, but the road and traffic can get noisy. It has basic amenities, and is clean and comfortable. The layout is a bit odd, with the shower separate from the upstairs bathroom, and the dining area down a few steps in the converted carport. Overall, worth the price.

This is not a beachfront or beach view property, however it is very close. It is about a 5min walk to both the beach and lots of food options. Even with the many fans provided, the house is very hot during the day even with all of the windows open. We arrived after sundown and the windows weren’t opened all the way so the house didn’t cool down until about 10pm. We managed to stay out of the house during the day due to the heat. The patio is lovely and we spent the mornings and evenings outside. Beach towels, chairs and boogie boards are provided. House is clean, well kept and a great value for the money.

It remains the perfect size, perfect location and perfect arrangement for relaxation and for our individual work situations. We enjoy the song birds, White Rumped Shamas and even the Doves. It is very easy to walk to the beach, or to downtown Hanalei. The Cottage is clean and well maintained. We had another very good stay in 2024.

It did not disappoint. Yes, it is rustic, but it has this authentic beachy-vibe to it that we really liked. It was comfortable, VERY CLEAN, and we enjoyed sitting under the covered area to enjoy the wonderful breezes that seemed to funnel its way into this covered area, and we really wished that there were hammocks to further enjoy this space (perfect for afternoon siestas!).The other wish we had was that the outdoor shower had an enclosure so that you could take a shower without your swimsuit on.Very pleased with our stay, and we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Hanalei without breaking the bank.We will definitely be back!!Erin S.Lacey, WASept 22-27, 2023One more thing: the folks at Na Pali Properties are fabulous. We had an incredible experience staying at this cottage! It was perfectly clean and had everything you could need including a great amount of hooks and plugs. This cottage brought nostalgic memories of visiting my grandparents cottage when I was a kid. I was so happy to give my kids the opportunity to make the same memories of going to the beach, playing on the huge lawn, searching for lizards and chasing chickens. The proximity to the beach can’t be beat. I especially appreciated all of the practical touches! I hope we have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

This little house is the best deal in Hanalei Bay. My brother, who has lived in the area for 40 years, couldn't believe what a deal we were getting. Highly recommend.
