"This was a great single night stay for us, allowing a relaxing trip from Kihei to Hana with all the stops, extra time to spend at the State Park and the National Park with a morning of surfing too. The house was well appointed, we could have cooked or BBQ’d at the house but with so much great food in town we supported local vendors. Great hosts. Don’t hesitate to book, and if you can spend more than one night there is so much to do"

"Absolutely wonderful facility, staff and amenities. Room was "tired." St. Mary's is a beautiful church with a wonderful friendly priest and congregation. Charles Lindbergh's grave is 1 mile past the national park."

"This is a beautiful, quiet, and relaxing place to stay that offers a nice breakfast and lovely grounds with pool, jacuzzi, fire pits, and comfortable outdoor furniture. There’s a schedule of a variety of yoga classes over a week and areas conducive to meditation. That said, we never saw staff around other than at check-in and breakfast and wonder if they’re short on employees. We didn’t receive any room service over our 5 night stay, nor did we ask, and the beautifully designed grounds needed weeding. Those shortcomings didn’t diminish our experience and we do recommend it for what it does offer and for its location. Perhaps Lumeria was and could again be a jewel. It has such good bones and with a bit of attention and management could be exceptional."

"The resort facilities were excellent. The pool, spa, recreational areas, and other amenities were all great, and the views were beautiful. The breakfast was also excellent. The only area that could use improvement is the accommodation itself. The bungalow we stayed in needs more maintenance and some additional repairs and updating. Overall, though, we had a very good experience and enjoyed our stay. With some improvements to the individual units, this could be an even better resort"

"Our stay at The Banyon Tree B&B was amazing. We had nine in our party, everyone had their own space and multiple wonderful spaces to gather together, particularly at the amazing pool and hot tub with incredible views of Maui and the water. The grounds are spectacular with gorgeous plantings everywhere. The host, Heleina, was so kind and responsive to any issue that came up. The spaces were clean, comfortable and welcoming. The house is situated in the hills of Makawao, away from the touristy areas with only a short drive to downtown Makawao or Paia for a little shopping and dining, which cannot be beat. I would highly recommend the Banyon B&B."
