"The staff was very friendly and helpful as we arrived late and had to check in after hours. Unfortunately, the room just wasn’t that good. Standing water in the shower and the doors leaked water badly, all over the bathroom floor. The mattress was awful. No support at all; caved in the middle. There was some kind of greasy crap on the top of the bedside table. Thankfully I had some sanitizer with me to clean it. The breakfast was simple but good and plenty to eat."

"First look at the room there was dirt on the bed like outside ground dirt like something was placed there that was previously on soil Next there was a half eaten fruit salad in the fridge .the bathroom didn't appear clean there was spiderwebs in each corner of the bathroom The aircon is broken like plastic broken of The tv ...first of all the remote only turned the tv off and on that's it .the tv picture was sooo bad going funny colours and clearly not watchable The real disappointment was still to come with breakfast the next morning You couldn't call it that it was terrible the service none existing we asked for coffee the lady in charge said there is the urn of hot water and the same awful coffee satchels we have in the room and a jug of milk .just to then discover they had a proper coffee machine but she was to lazy to use it No butter no bred no toast we left even that we had booked for 2 nights just awful "

"I would have LIKED to stay at the Royal. I'd made a booking but ran late getting there. No text message. No email. And no keys or anything in the late arrivals box when I got there. You can imagine how great that felt arriving in a dark carpark, with everything closed, and nowhere to stay. I was lucky to not end up sleeping in the back of my car, but had to suck up paying for a room at another hotel (also closed by the time I got there, but at least there was a bell I could ring). Late check in process at this place definitely needs work. Imo, don't book here if you're expecting to arrive late. "

"Shower leaked, air conditioner on a timer and turns itself off, first checkin text no access code given therefore I had to contact property, dirty coffee cup, left over food from previous guest, half a roll of toilet paper with no replacement. Two nights of accommodation with only one bath towel per stay. No housekeeping during the duration of our stay."

"The Convent is a lovely place to stay in Pokolbin, with delightfully pleasant and helpful staff. The ambience is quite in keeping with the style of the building as is the decor and the artwork. Our room had a queen size bed and private bathroom and it opened on to a large veranda with nice comfortable cane furniture. The bed was however not the most comfortable one we have slept on with the mattress being quite hard. The shower was over a high bathtub which was awkward to negotiate. Thankfully there was a grab rail. For a property being marketed as a Luxury Hotel the bed linen and towels were not up to standard. Our vanity didn’t have hot running water, which made shaving uncomfortable. Apart from those comments we enjoyed our stay thank w"
