"The unit itself was very clean and comfortable although the toilet kept sticking and had to be flushed manually at times. Unfortunately, being a Sunday night stay, there were very few options for dining out. Due to covid restrictions, there was no dining at the motel."

"We had a lovely relaxing time here. Very peaceful and quiet, and found it quite private despite the neighbouring house. There wasn’t much space outdoors that our young kids could safely play, but we enjoyed the surrounding bushwalks as a family."

"It was beyond our expectations and the bed was so comfortable

"Lovely stay in an old family cottage with wide open view over the valley. Well equipped, lovely comfy bed and fortunately our weather was good so didn’t need to use the stove!
My husband and I loved the surrounding area - winding roads, autumn trees and blue skies.
Thanks Georgina for all the info you gave me."

"A great place to stay with a small gathering or big family - the fact there’s no TV means that time just gets lost reading or playing games and it’s only until the sun goes down you realise the day has slipped on by. Em was great getting back to texts and queries.
My family and I e joyed bush walks and cuddles out on the deck. Highly recommend."

"This is a beautiful property housing an amazing ‘Rustic Retreat’ built into part of a shed in a wonderful part of the South West. Hosted by the owners of the property, Marita and Ian who really know how to make their guests feel special and have ensured everything has been provided to make you more than comfortable. As guests you are invited guests to explore and enjoy their amazing surroundings with beautifully maintained gardens, ponds, sheep and cattle on the property together with all the wonderful native birds in the area. The hosts have provided a unique experience in which to be located so close to the Balingup township, yet with the impression that you are miles from anywhere. The wood fire keeps you warm in the cooler seasons and there is a reverse cycle airconditioner for the warmer weather as well. The accommodation is super clean & superbly decorated and furnished to suit the environment together with very comfortable beds. We look forward to returning again in the future and would highly recommend to family and friends and anyone looking to visit this absolutely beautiful part of the South West."

"It was very homely. Well appointed (just need the new dishwasher plumbed in). Plenty of games and great selection of children's books. Lovely location with the bush aspect and walk down to the river and trails. Walk to town not too far with a nice stop off at the playground along the way.
We will be back. Thank you."
