We stayed at the appartement style accommodation for 15 nights and we know the location well as we lived there - here is some recommendations before you decide to book there: Internet is only available from the lobby For the whole stay TV was not functioning When we mentioned to the staff about the issues the service started to be lacking. Missing towels for the bathroom - cuttlery washed negligently - bed sheets exchange not as usual. Above all difficult to sleep on Saturdays as the nightclub nearby was too noisy until 2am.

Very comfortable and easy making reservations with the manager Ram. They need a good sign out on the road for the suites. Supermarket next door handy if you wanted to eat in as there is a decent kitchen and balcony in each suite.

Great location, service and hotel
Hotel has a comfortable feel, nice pool, good location, all amenities and if they don't have they will get it for you. The staff was excellent and very accommodating.

Nice location if you want to be near the beaches in Grand Bay. Otherwise somewhat inconvenient if you want to visit other parts of the island. Nice to be next door to a supermarket and across the street from a football field, too. The manager went out of his way to make my stay enjoyable, even letting me relax in my room the final day until 5 pm, since my flight out was late in the evening! There was a bit of a bug problem - not unexpected in tropical climates, really. The place was not in the best of shape, but it suited my needs and was a good bargain.

Does not reflect the marketing. Looks much better online. A/C didn’t work, sink was leaking, blinds were broken, lots of noise at night. Manager became fairly agitated when I informed him of these issues. We checked out 5 days early to avoid staying at this disappointing property.

We travelled with our young son and found GBS to be perfect for our needs. The rooms are spacious and the air conditioning works very well. All of the staff were absolutely lovely & the daily housekeeping was always prompt and very thorough. We had a small issue with our shower which was fixed so quickly. Great location next to Supermarket 2000 with a little one. Would definitely stay here again

It is time Hotel.com do serious Quality Control
I trust and I have always believed that I do not need to question whether a hotel or accommodation suggested in your wedsite (Hotel.com) would be of any fraud of any sort. I arrived at Grand Bay Suites on the 12th January 2019 as planned. Note - I have never really given any negative feedback for the years I have used Hotel.com as my travelling guide to where I will be staying. To my horrors, all was fine until I was shown into my room. The room was not very clean to begin with, the smell of humid and dullness in the air, fine switching on the airconditioning would help, the worst came when I went into the bathroom. Excuse my words here but it was disgustingly dirty. The water outlet where you take a shower is black and you can see the thick layer that should be washed on a chromed surface. It was really bad. I was about to go to bed and the sheets were stained. I checked out the next morning as I felt disappointed as it was not a business trip but my own personal holiday after more than 15 years not taking one. The stars that represent the status of the hotels etc, do you ever check it yourself or you simply take the feedback given with no clue whether it was true or just plain simple, there is a feedback and it should suffice. I wanted to call and thought to myself, how can I as I had no real excess to wifi as it did not exist in the room and there was no tel and no real means of communication. It was pointless to get angry with the staff. Holiday ruined.

Dear Mr Roderick K TOH , Following your complain only one thing which we too find strange ,you check in at 21pm and left the next day at 14h12 and the only comment you made to the security during your check out is that your wife made you a surprise and booked a room at Club MED and not to worry for your unexpected departure, since everything has already been settled. How did we come across this information !!!.Anyway I believe what ever problem you may have come across there are different ways to solve it ,but definitely not the way you expressed yourself toward us. kind regards R Payen.

Very smooth transfer from the airport. Great pool, handy location nextdoor to supermarket and nearby to one of the nicer public beaches in the area. Apartment not very well equipped and leaky shower screen.

Very happy with our stay here, amazing location even if you don’t have a car. Local shops, staff very helpful. Rooms are cleaned every day, and the pool is very well maintained. I would definitely return

Good base to visit North of the Island
We stayed for 2 weeks. Apartments spacious and cleaned regularly but are in need of refurbishment. Staff helpful and friendly. Short walk to local beach. Town in walking distance but pavements are in poor condition or non existent.

Great holiday apartments
The Grand Bay Suites are conveniently situated in grand baie. The store right next door is a super plus! The service was awesome! Staff were extremely efficient especially Mary! The facilities were great, it had everything we needed & more!

Self catering apartments in Grand Bay
Stayed for three weeks in March when the weather was very good. Enjoyed staying in Grand Bay Suites which are well equiped and comfortable and suitable for couples or families with small children. Found the property to be quiet and kept clean and tidy. Good value for money.

This hotel is very good value for money and is well located however the laundry service was not slick as we received some clothing belonging to another guest. Also it took several days to get the toaster fixed. Otherwise very good.

Quiet comfortable and clean suites
Late check -in, due to delay flight - Glad Manager made arrangements. Rooms big and clean for family of 4 - Value for money. Quiet surrounding, nice friendly guests sharing common facilities. Apart from the fact it was not well sign posted and difficult to locate, I was favourably impressed. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff helpful and overall I thought it very good value for money. I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Mauritius

We stayed for two nights but the wind noise in our apartment was really really bad during the day and the night it was constant making it very difficult to sleep the apartment was also very badly lit thus making the apartment very very dark.

Hotel didn't really have enough cooking utensils.
Hotel staff were lovely hotel was in good destination close to shops and beach. Beds were lovely and comfortable and sofa bed to. Pool was nice size. But hotel kitchen utensils were few. Tin opener was terrible couldn't open anything. Not enough pots and pans. Also no tv as it didn't work terrible signal.

There is full security and your car is safe as well. There was a bad toilet smell. We inform management and they apologize. The tv was not working properly and there is no maintenance at night but it got fix next day. The wifi not good in the room but you can have good wifi in reception area. The apartment is very nice with nice view on the balcony. Swimming pool is good and all staff are friendly. Shop is walking distance and beach. It is good value for money. Everything is clean in the kitchen and you can make whatever you want to cook.

Fun times in Mauritius
Very nice front desk, helpful. Very close to the beach, fun clubs, grocery store, and several restaurants. Still quiet at night, and very family friendly.

The hotel room location everything is perfect except the Manager who is v. Rude. Room allocation was improper. Even though rooms were available v were told that they can't accomodate. U need to carry ur own luggage to the rooms n no lift is available. A. C. In 1 room stopped working on 2nd day n was never repaired. Cleanliness was maintained well.

Conveniently situated, comfortable and good value
Grand Bay Suites are conveniently situated about a kilometer from Grand Bay Beach towards Pereybere. There is a small supermarket next door with restaurants and night clubs a short walk away as is the lovely La Cuvette Beach. The suites are well appointed, spacious, clean and comfortable. The friendly staff are always on hand and willing to help in whatever way they can. All in all a great place to stay.

Very nice hotel close to the beaches and clubs
It's a great place to sit back and relax. The staff are wonderful and are very friendly especially Ram and Marie who would go out of their way to help out at their highest standards making to feel welcomed and comfortable. The apartment was kept clean (Prim and proper) on a daily basis by the cleaning staff and taking into account any special requests as I am a very meticulous person. In future i would personally go back in the future!

Friendly staff,while there it was not too busy,quiet atmosphere,very good value for money for grand bay.I had just stayed in flic en flac ,west of the island at the Sofitel and the Hilton and also Le sands hotel the week before,although 5 star hotels and luxurious,grand bay suites more than make it up in close to amenities,great value for money if you want to do your own thing,a bit of cooking,all rooms have balconies,you can wash your clothes,only have to buy laundry powder next door,store 2000,everything that you need.Grand bay beach is not very far south,there is a beautiful secluded beach called la cuvette a km away,pereybere is not far either,but if you want an unspoilt and very private beach,la cuvette is the place.

Excellent stay, with minor issues...
The room was very neat and clean. We experienced a few minor issues, some of which were resolved during our stay. These issues included not receiving linen for the sleeper couch even though we made it known beforehand that this would be required. However, upon requesting such, we were provided with the linen. The aircon in the bedroom did not work, so we simply opened the balcony door for a breeze whenever required. This aircon was not repaired during our stay. The aircon in the lounge area worked perfectly though, but was not adequate to cover both areas. The wifi signal in the room was poor, so we sat on the balcony whenever we required better wifi connectivity! The rooms were serviced daily, with towels replaced, etc. The kitchen had mismatched crockery, but this was not a problem for us. All in all, an excellent self catering stay, which we hope to visit again in due course!

Good Hotel overall!
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The only drawback (even this word is exaggerated) is the proximity to the city of Grand Bay. The beach is still quite close. The picture I recommend it to anyone.

My stay at Grand Bay suites was excellent. The hotel reception in the evenings was very helpful and assisted me to obtain a taxi and best prices for tour guides. I cannot remember his name but he always works during the night shift. I would recommend his service and the new security employed evenings as excellent and hope management at Grand Bay recognise them for always going the extra mile to assist clients and there sincere dedication and loyalty to there work. We were also very impressed with the cleaner who cleaned our room very neat. Grand Bay suites should consider having some entertainment for kids and adults such as table tennis or a pool table. Lovely apartments in great location.
We stayed here for 16 very enjoyable nights. The apartments are very spacious & airy. The kitchen is well equipped, but some sort of container with a lid for storing sugar would be useful as I always feel that open bags of sugar will attract all sorts of creepy crawlies!! We went & bought our own container at the supermarket so no big deal. Talking of supermarkets, there is one right next door which sells everything you might need. Grand Bay Suites are in a nice quiet location, about a 15 - 20 minute stroll into the centre of Grand Baie & about 10 - 15 minute stroll to La Cuvette beach. It is a good idea to hire a car to get out & about but I wouldn't recommend Port Louis unless you like traffic jams & horns honking!! Mont Choisy & Trou Aux Biches are beautiful beaches. The wifi is very poor! We kept being disconnected which was very frustrating. We run a business & we rely on good internet connection to deal with any queries we get but it was virtually impossible to send a quick email without being disconnected about 10 times!! Expedia give the location of Grand Bay Suites as Perybere, but they are not in Perybere. Perybere is close by but saying that GBS are there can be misleading & give the impression of being further from Grand Baie centre than they actually are. We stayed in June/July and had quite good weather considering that it is winter in Mauritius but it can get very windy, so advisable to pack a light jacket or something similar.

Well appointed apartment near Grand Baie
We had trouble finding the place. The street sign was not prominent at all (it was faded to almost completely white). It is next to Store 2000 which is a well stocked grocery store.

The staff were wonderful.......starting with the warm welcome we received after a tiring journey with two small children. Then throughout our stay the staff were caring, friendly and attentive......nothing was ever too much trouble for them. We will certainly stay there again.
