"I was met with a very engaging owner who showed me through the hotel. My room was small but very clean with a comfortable bed and efficient heating. Bathroom was a shared bathroom but was very clean and plenty of hot water and large 'fluffy' towels. The evening meal was very tasty and there was not a long waiting time for the meal. Very helpful and friendly staff. A beautiful country hotel and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel."

"I was really disappointed with the bed in this hotel. The mattress was clearly old and worn out—you could feel a noticeable dip in the middle and the springs poking through. It made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. For the price I paid, I expected much better quality. I wouldn’t stay here again unless they seriously upgrade their bedding. "

"A gorgeous, clean, very affordable, peaceful cottage. In walking distance to shops and across from a lovely lake. Plenty of room for the dog too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Ian was very contactable. Easy drive to Daylesford and Ballarat. Will definitely be coming back. "
