"This well-equipped and attractively appointed tiny home/pod sits in a gorgeous location on a ridge, overlooking valleys, rolling hills, farmland and, in the distance, mountains. We watched the sunset from a picnic table a few metres behind our pod and the sunrise from our very comfortable and cosy bed! "Highland House provided the exact restful and peaceful getaway we needed. Travelling with someone who has mobility challenges can be tough, but the accessible entrance through the garage and seamless flat level through the main bedroom, kitchen and living area made our stay easy and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and waking up to those amazing views was a highlight. A special thanks to our host, who went above and beyond when I lost my phone on the property and reached out for extra assistance."

"Excellent stay! The cabin is clean and tidy. The wood burning heater kept the place toasty and the beds were comfortable and warm.The location is beautiful with spectacular views and there was lots of wildlife and cows around for viewing.Dean is an excellent host and his communication was great.Already looking forward to next year!"

Barrington Hideaway- River Cottages

"I would have stayed a week if I could have! More time to enjoy more cups of tea on the deck with the sound of birdsong and the gently flowing river below. This place is idyllic. Feels like the most secluded, peaceful place, but 5 minutes drive from the nearest pub or bakery. The owners were helpfully responsive to my email enquiry before our stay, but left us alone to enjoy the experience when we were there. The cottages are well away from the house and the garden is designed so that the cottages are fairly private from each other. "
