"Everything was great from arrival to departure. It is in a great location. It felt very safe to go out walking in the day. There was a Western Union around the corner for currency exchange if you needed it. There were some places to eat just doors away and taxis to places like the Copacabana Palace end of town and Roxy Dinner show were easy to get and cheap. We were in a Fairmont Gold club room and the lounge was lovely with views over Copacabana beach towards Sugar Loaf, and great for breakfast. I had fresh made omelette every day. The white wine in the lounge was not great, but the red was fine. The spa was lovely and compared to some hotel spas not horrifically priced. Housekeeping were excellent and brought extra water and clean towels in the evening and the corridors were quiet at night. We had no internal noise although the sliding patio doors let some external noise in but not enough to keep you awake. The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean. The lounge staff could not have been more helpful and arranged a car to take us to the Roxy and back. It was not very much more than an Uber but we had a dedicated person waiting for us as soon as the show finished. All in all a great hotel experience and would recommend this hotel."

"Fantastic staff, without them this place wouldn’t be that great but they really are excellent. Great location, a few minutes walk from Ipanema beach and Copacabana. Great breakfast, a lot of choice including healthy granola, fruit and yoghurt. The room was ok, big and a reasonably comfy bed, the floor was a bit dirty. Everything is white including bright white lights which make it look like an institution and white shows all the scuff marks. Many of the light switches didn’t work or we couldn’t figure them out. The towels were threadbare and looked grey from being washed so many times and our cotton bedding looked old and was very frayed. If you can put up with that then this place is a pretty good deal for the price especially for the good location."

"The rooftop pool and restaurant are fabulous and really make the stay at this place! Sound insulation was poor in our room--even on the top floor, we had difficulty sleeping because of street-level noise, but after the first couple days we got used to it. The front desk staff were a little slow but very accommodating, letting us use the conference room for our son's nap when they were too busy to give us a late check-out. The hotel can book sightseeing for you that's much cheaper than what we saw online and we had a lot of fun on the pirate boat day trip that we booked through them."

"Overall really nice hotel, I would stay again. Downsides the laundry service is per items. So it can get expensive really fast. But there's laundry facilities nearby that are easy to use and cheaper. Also rooms were not soundproof like advertised."
