"The basic hotel appearance and the design of the rooms was fine. The bed and pillows were great. There was plenty of hot water. But, the safe didn't work, and the person authorized to reset it wasn't on duty for the next two days. Also, the air conditioning was weak to start with, and it seems that it is on some kind of power management timer. In the middle of the night, I woke up sweating. The thermostat showed 25 degrees C, and the A/C was not running. I somehow woke it up, and it suceeded to get the room to 24.5°. That was not a pleasant night's sleep..... Maybe I'm too picky."

"Clean rooms, staff was very responsive and helpful. Service was excellent and Pablo was very helpful with directions in terms of fun, architecture, places to see and food. Will definitely be going back on our next visit to Bilbao."

"The women at the front desk were delightful. The communication via email was excellent. We enjoyed our Jr Suite with view of the river and trees. The colored glass brightened the room on cloudy days, but could be blocked by black out shades if desired. The sofa bed was not comfortable to sit on and the carpet rather worn."

"The hotel is a great location to most attractions and had a fabulous breakfast buffet! Service was wonderful from check in personnel who were helpful especially with parking to the breakfast attendants. We found the most amazing plaza 4 blocks away with huge crowds of people enjoying tapas and drinks. This hotel has a beautiful patio for drinks or relaxing. "

"Spent one night before an early flight. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent. No hot eggs, but fresh fruit, bread and the variety was good. Much better than expected! The shuttle was a bit confusing. It parked where cars park for drop off. It was black (in US Holiday Inn shuttles are white) and I never saw the logo, which doesn’t mean it’s not there. Luckily my friend saw it, while I was checking out a different van. It does seem to come pretty often, 15 minutes or so."
