Comfortable central small heritage hotel

Part of the Apple group in Penang, it’s a charming little hotel within easy walking of lots of restaurants, the historic centre and the pleasantly landscaped new waterside promenade. I had a single room which was perfectly adequate, had an extremely comfortable bed and overlooked the little garden courtyard. It was quiet at night and the staff were very friendly and helpful - particularly appreciated as my stay coincided with a stressful few days when the whole of Georgetown was without a water supply due to major engineering works. Will definitely return when in Penang.

The room doesnt have ventilation. One of the cups in the room have a clear lipstick stain. The bed and bedsheet are old and due for change. This is my 4th time staying at this hotel but after this experience we have decided not to repeat our stay

Very Tired - desperately needs resorting.

Good location and Large rooms and comfy beds - but oh the condition of the general upkeep of the rooms/ building is very poor- ceilings have mould - carpets look like they have never been cleaned (really horrible) showers that work but very moldy. Lastly very noisy if on the left side - I was in room 116 and there is a disco next door that goes on to 0200-0300 - so noisy I had to change rooms.

Wouldn’t stay there again

Very expensive for what we got, we stayed at other hotel in kl for much cheaper and the quality of room was much higher. They have a unique decor thought but not worth the price. The color on the wall is very messed up and you can ear everything outside as if the window are not close. WiFi isn’t working half of the time and when it’s working it’s really slow. Also everything is a bit far.

I checked in around 5 and 5:30 to 7 something there’s no electricity!!! And the same night around 12 something the same thing happened. I booked 2 rooms and 1 room has no soap. I asked for soap they said the janitor is nowhere to be found. Terrible

Tyylikäs, vanha hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla

Hyvä sijainti josta pääsee nopeasti seikkailemaan George Towniin. Rannat ovat kaukana ja rentoutumisen kannalta jäin kaipaamaan uima-allasta. Ravintolan puuttuminen ei ole ongelma sillä hotellista pääsee nopeasti kojuille ostamaan paikallista aamupalaa. Huoneen ilmastointi ei toimi ilman avainkorttia, joten se muuttuu todella kuumaksi päivän aikana ja jäähtyminen ottaa aikansa. Palvelu on ystävällistä ja hotellin rakennus tyylikäs.

Très bien situé et bon service

Hôtel très bien situé à quelques minutes à pied du centre historique de Georgetown, tout peut être visité à pied. Chambre très spacieuse et confortable, mais pas de petit déjeuner possible. Le personnel était très courtois et donnait beaucoup de renseignements pour visiter la ville y compris les bonnes adresses de restauration. Parking gratuit dans l'enceinte de l'hôtel pour ceux qui louent un véhicule.

海に近いので選びましたが、道路を歩いてても海があまり見えないので選んだ意味が感じれなかったのが残念でした。シングルルームは、想像より狭かったです。 スタッフさんは、親切で対応もよかったです♪ ありがとうございました。

It’s really a pity thé réception is not open 24h. It is not safe. At 3 a.m drunked people try to break thé door to get in the room. I guest they had lost there badge. Police n all. Spent 2 nights did not feel safe. And did not sleep well. Otherwise thé room and bed were good. But will not return to this hotel. Mme Rassool
