"We enjoyed our stay at Timbre Virtudes. We property is unique with is old stone work and hugh timbers. This created a warm and beauty atmosphere. I recommend a room with a balcony to enjoy. The staff was wonderful. They helped coordinate a surprise bubbles for travel companions with ease. They were always available to answer questions and give great recommendations on where to eat. Breaksfast was better than I excepted with hot items included. The staff and hotel made our stay in Porto enjoyable. We will be back."

"The front desk staff were amazing- helpful with restaurant suggestions and making reservations, luggage and car valet parking. The only suggestion is to extend the tranquility water space time from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. 30 minutes feels rushed and not enough time to enjoy the sauna, jacuzzi and actual relax. The hotel is in a convenient location away from the hustle and crowds. Rooftop bar offers amazing views!"

"InterContinental Porto – Palácio das Cardosas: A Hotel That Makes Leaving Rather Difficult Every now and then, you stay somewhere that reminds you why great hotels are worth seeking out. The InterContinental Porto is one of those places. First, there’s the building. A magnificent historic palace sitting proudly in the heart of Porto, looking as though it has spent centuries quietly judging the architectural decisions of lesser buildings. The location is nearly impossible to improve upon. Step outside and you’re surrounded by beautiful architecture, wonderful restaurants, charming streets, and enough hills to make you question whether Porto has ever heard of level ground. Inside, the hotel is elegant without being pretentious, luxurious without trying too hard, and wonderfully comfortable. But the beds. Oh, those magnificent beds. After traveling through Europe and encountering a few mattresses that seemed better suited for medieval punishment than a good night’s sleep, the beds at the InterContinental were nothing short of heavenly. The pillows were extraordinary, the sheets were wonderfully soft and luxurious, and the entire experience was like being gently embraced by a cloud that had somehow earned a degree in hospitality. I’m convinced the hotel has discovered some secret formula for perfect sleep. The pillows, the sheets, the mattress, everything was exceptional. We slept so well that getting out of bed each morning felt less like starting a new day and more like"
