"This is a very nice camping ground location. The name is actually called Workshop camp resort. The google maps address is wrong, continue up the road past 2 other properties.
The palace cabins are basic, good size. The hot water did not work in our cabin. Pretty location in the forest."

"Wonderful staff and a very nice place. Good views of Mount Fuji and the outdoor private bathtub was great for soaking in some hot water. Check in is really easy (you'll need to use a translation app at times if you don't speak Japanese). For US Residents who aren't used to sleeping on the floor on just a futon mat or 2, you may be a bit stiff waking up. We had to ask for a couple of extra mats and the staff was very helpful and understanding. Its about a 30 min walk to town where we rented E...

"The room itself was nice. Very quaint. But the sink leaked, nobs on the shower doors fell off and ants were readily present.
The property looked tired and rundown. I could tell at one time it was a modern type resort, however, time has not been kind to the facilities. Grass was overgrown, bushes were untrimmed, sidewalks were covered with moss and weeds.
The staff was nice, but due to the remoteness of the property we had to rent a taxi to go pick up a pizza we tried to get delivered.

"Our stay at Lodge Stack Point was lovely. The hosts, Mama-San and Papa-San, were so friendly and provided us with great recommendations. The room was perfectly comfortable and the location was tranquil. "

"A spacious villa for our family of 5 with 2 beds and a few tatami. There’s a small private osen outside the bathroom. A kettle and simple eating utensils are provided. Location is convenient in terms of access to convenient stores and restaurants nearby. Very happy with our stay!"

"Lovely quirky hotel. It is quite basic but the rooms are clean (and have a great view of Mt Fuji!), and the communal lounge is great to hang out in. The staff are lovely and so helpful, the shuttle to and from the station was very helpful! Lots of restaurants within walking distance. "

"Room spotless. Comfort beds.
A bit dusappointed that becsuse we didn't go with the dinner package tgst we could not eat in the hotel except to order room service. There are a lot of other restaurants within driving distance though. I highly revommend '38 Kawaguchiko', a quaint Italian place owned by a sweet coipke with outstanding food.
In pics, it looks like there is an outside hot tub but there is not.
I asked a man for an extra pillow one evening ( the heavier man) and he said there were none. I said "really?", he replied "yes, really". It was clear to me that he just didn't want to bother. The next day, across the hall from our room there was a housekeeping room with extra pillows which a lovely male housekeeper had no issue with govong me.
All that being said, the view of Mt Fuji from our room was outstanding."
"Room was spacious and well appointed with a great view of Mt Fuji. The bathroom was large with an oversized tub. The hotel feels high end even though it’s beside an amusement park. The free bus stops right outside and takes you into town to experience Mt. Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi and many restaurants. We did not eat at the hotel so have no insight into the restaurant."
"The hotel staff who attended to us is kind and speaks good English, this is much appreciated as we encountered challenges when communicating with some locals. There's a mini store offering snacks and souvenirs at the lobby, which was convenient for us to buy something to eat at this quiet area. The room is very spacious with a side view of the Mount Fuji, breakfast is fine, checkout process was smooth. Overall it's a great hotel for staying in this area."
"Our stay at The Sense Fuji was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We would have stayed longer if time allowed. The property is beautiful with incredible views of Mt. Fuji. The private onsen is relaxing and the food was great. The service was perfect and helped us with whatever we needed. Cannot wait to come back."
