Great flight - on time and quick to get bags

Jul 12, 2019

Immigration process was a bit lengthy and was not explained. Ground staffing not enough to assist passengers in spite of the very long queues. Passengers risked missing their flights.

Airline kept us updated on a delayed boarding, then in flight tried to get us there quicker to offset the delay

Why do we pay for checked luggage.....?.....

Apr 12, 2018

Our kids (aged 8&10) were seated separately from us (in an exit row), and they could not change us to be seated together. This was distressing on an LA to DC length of flight, especially during a 45 minute turbulence when my son was feeling sick but didn’t know what to do.

Just to let you know that Warrick Walls bag had been opened by the time it finally arrived on carousel. LA or Washington?? Padlock cut off and was missing, contents jumbled but nothing stolen.

The lounge at The airport was amazing, the snacks on the plane were great. Collecting large carry on luggage at end was slow.

Washington Flights

For most, Washington evokes the image of stately buildings, large monuments and the prim hustle and bustle of politics. Although all of these things can be seen in this lovely city, it is made up of so much more. For instance, Washington is home to numerous museums, an exciting nightlife, beautiful natural surroundings and a varied array of shopping and dining options. Given that this destination is a tourist hub, finding cheap flights to Washington can be tricky unless you book well in advance.

Best time to go to Washington

Peak Season:

As many American families go on holiday from June to August, Washington sees an increase in tourism. Weather is often exceedingly warm during these months and the prices of flights rise dramatically. If however, you plan ahead, you can take this time to soak up some culture during the Museum Walk Weekend, visit one of the many monuments, or play in one of the amusement parks.

Shoulder Season:

The months of March to May and September to October make up the shoulder season in this location. Although this destination may be chilly, flights to Washington can still be a little pricey during this time, as visitors crowd the city to take part in major political events, and indulge in some of the more popular local festivals.

Off Season:

From December to January, Washington is at its coldest. If you do not mind a bit of cool weather, this is an excellent time to go, as crowds are few and there is still plenty to do such as exploring the Smithsonian or browsing in the Dupont Circle shopping district.
