• Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, travel documents, wallet and daily medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to while away the time. • The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and opt for shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.

• Have your travel documents and passport handy. They'll be the first things you'll be asked for by security.
