"We had a fantastic week - Aileen was a great host - her thoughtfulness, hospitality and attention to detail were clear from the moment we arrived! The cottage had everything we needed and the view of the lake was beautiful!! The area is great for biking, kayaking, hiking and touring but also a great place to relax - we will definitely be back! "We chose this location by proximity to the lake. It was clean and well appointed and did not disappoint (other than we didn’t catch any fish). Home was well stocked with necessity item including cookware which was important for us as we cooked our own meals. It also had dishwasher and detergent along with washer and dryer and laundry soap. It was a quiet peaceful location and I would definitely stay there again!"

"I spent 5 days in Cape Breton and this was by far the best hotel I stayed at. Most of the other lodging options, especially deeper/father north into the park are “rustic” - stained tubs due to mineral water, cranky AC, mattresses that dip in the middle from heavy use. The Telegraph was none of those things. The rooms were modern on the inside and the staff was very friendly. Please stay here, you won’t regret it. "
