"Truly remarkable experience in an 800 year old castle. The grounds are beautiful and include olive trees on the farm. Great views. Quaint experience with the owners who run the castle as a bed and breakfast. Our suite easily accommodated our family of five. We are grateful for the intimate breakfast the following morning. "There is a big gap between what appears on the website and the reality, getting to the room is very difficult. (Requires traveling by car on an unpaved road) The living conditions are not comfortable at all. Very small shower. There are no air conditioners in the rooms. Dark and unlit rooms. "Amazing scenery. Believe all the pictures. Saw porcupines, wild boars with offspring and the town Castellina in Chiante is absolutely charming. We drove to Tuscany only to find we already had the same gorgeous vistas from the villa. Serena's cooking is simply legendary. Far better than any restaurant. Her zucchini flowers were a huge hit. Thanks again Serena. We were lucky enough to have her cook for us 3 nights! You do need GPS and patience on the last bit of road."

"This was a lovely location just north of Siena. I think ideally, I would stay south of Siena to avoid some traffic coming and going. Simona was very kind; she and her husband helped us out when our rental car gave us oil warning and the dipstick was dry. Unfortunately, I had not noticed a notice online that the pool was closed by the time we were staying there as we had looked forward to using it."

"Quaint property offering peace and quiet in the Tuscany foothills. The food is excellent and the staff is more than willing to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We spent one afternoon by the pool in a luxurious cabana. For those traveling with large groups, keep in mind this is a smaller boutique hotel that is a 10-minute taxi ride to the town of Siena & you must make dinner reservations each night as they account for food quantity. The staff truly made our stay memorable!"

Visitors (esp Americans) should know the owners speak little to no English, so come with your google translate or try and learn a little Italian prior. "The apartment is very spacious with lots of antiques and has a home from home feel. It is about a 20 min walk into town, uphill in places but straight forward. Parking is tight so bring a small car 😊. The views across to the old town are great and the balcony space a plus."
