"The modern hotel itself is a great facility set in a modern library setting with a variety of interesting books free to peruse. The two outstanding problems with this hotel are (1) access by public transportation is very limited, forcing the guests to hire a taxi to convenient nearby train stations such as Tokorozawa station costing 2,400-2,600 yen each way, and (2) the breakfast purchased optionally is practically the same throughout your stay—three different kinds of sandwiches. "We chose this hotel for the location. It is definitely in the middle of everything in shinjuku. We chose to book thru expedia for safety of mind in case we needed to cancel.
The lobby is on the 8th floor, so there will always be 2 elevators to enter or exit.
The elevators for the rest of the hotel are split and you don't really have to wait long.
Check in, check out, instructions and help to find a company to fix my glasses, laundry - all were dealt with very professionally and friendly.
the room was pretty spacious, separate toilet room, show room and the sink is outside.
We faced the Tokyu Kabukicho tower, and the quad below, where events were held often and we could hear some of it, and they quieted down by 10pm. There is a starbucks in that tower. The screen on that building also shuts off by 10.
Within the hotel tower there are many shows, including a very nice sushi joint.
It is extremely walkable to shinjuku station and lots of other parts of town.
The 7-11 is accessible from within the "
"We had a great experience at this hotel. Shinjuku station was a bit of a walk, but not terrible. Some of the hotel reviews mention hot rooms. Ours was the opposite. It was very very cold and the only other option was off, and then it would be stuffy.
In all, it was a great stay for the price and I would recommend the hotel to any of my friends. "
"The hotel was nice and clean and there were restaurants around the area. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It would have been perfect if there was a fitness center."
"Had a great 3 night stay at this hotel. Biggest negative for us was we could not have our family of 3 in a single room and had to split a 2nd room with another family of 3 in our group.
Daily breakfast was great, lots of options for both a Western palette or those wanting something more authentic to Japan. My biggest complaint would be the runny eggs but you can get an omelette cooked on demand. Several coffee options (very small cups though) and the kids loved the ice cream. Always fresh fruit, yogurt and a variety of bread/baking.
Never ate lunch or dinner there. Multiple coffee shops on the first floor. Walkable to many dining options and to the bus (we were there for sports)"
