We had a wonderful stay at West Coast Wilderness Lodge. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking ocean view. Waking up to the beautiful scenery and enjoying breakfast overlooking the water made the experience truly special. The property is peaceful, well-maintained, and a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the Sunshine Coast. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Egmont! We would happily return.

West Coast Wilderness Lodge is a special play to stay, which we did for our 25th wedding anniversary. The setting is so beautiful, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the facilities are comfortable. Would definitely return again if we visit Egmont.

Lucas the general manager was very welcoming and helpful once we arrived. The property was stunning and had a beautiful view. The place is very quiet during the off season which we found very relaxing. Lucas’s recommendations were great and we would definitely come back in the summer ! Skookumchuck Narrows was also amazing to see!

Great view and comfortable family stay

Easy parking, stairs to get to the room. Awesome view!! Very comfortable bed and accommodating for an extra crib for our 1 year old. Very clean and modern appliances. Location is far from groceries and restaurants so be prepared to get groceries if you don’t want to drive too much. Excellent stay for families otherwise

We stayed in Lodge 10 (3 separate apts for my adult children and their children. Spotless and new with outstanding views. Easy check in. We chose shoulder season (early April) so restaurant choices were limited but we knew and were fine with it. Would definitely stay again. It was wonderful !

We stayed for two nights and stayed in the ocean view suite after upgrading from the forest side. I highly recommended this upgrade if you plan on staying and experiencing the ocean view which the highlight if the resort. Also, we decided to book through Expedia, which did not include the dining option, which was great for us as well where able to have the freedom to dine in other local areas and get take out sushi to have on the deck.There are some small amenities missing for the price like no black out shades on the sliding door and no where to store your soap and shampoo in the shower. Overall highly recommend for a great romantic get away.

Great location and very helpful staff. A note for future guests, toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash was included, however, moisturizers were not included. The air conditioner is only in the main area, hence the bedroom can get stuffy if the door is shut.

We stayed in the new Villas, which are nice and bright and offer stunning views from the bedroom and off the patio. The room was exceptionally clean and had a well equipped kitchen. The villas are not connected to the main hotel, it’s a short walk/drive between on the local road. Egmont is very small and the road to get there is very windy and slow to get there so I recommend bringing everything you need with you. I was disappointed to find out a few days prior that the hotel’s restaurant was closed due to a wedding, that might be something I would check before booking again. However, the nearby Backeddy Pub is super friendly and quaint with really great food. The bakery at the entrance to the Skookumchuck Narrows hike should not be missed. Kayaking with Metta Eco was also a very magical and memorable experience, highly recommend!

We stayed two nights - the first was a Monday and the meals were very poor bu the next night the meals were excellent and seemd to be a completely different staff and much better experience. There are many loose boards on teh boardwalks and some obvious wear and tear in the rooms as well as a nest of sugar ants in the room. Being our third visit in the past 5 years we did see a decline overall unfortunately.

We rented 2 ocean view cabins; one had an extra dirty drinking glass; the other had the patio door curtain slightly off the hooks. During the dinner, staff spilled balsamic on the white tablecloth and didn’t cover the dark stain on it. Otherwise, everything was great and staff were very friendly and helpful. It was our second visit, and we wanted to show off our beautiful wilderness to our family visitors from Europe.
