Our stay at the hotel was excellent. Clean room, excellent shower, tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Good choice of food and drinks at Breakfast, including vegan/vegetarian options. Friendly and helpful staff on reception and at Breakfast. Location is good, only a short bus ride from the city centre. We will definitely choose this hotel again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

The staff are so helpful and friendly. Andre was amazing. I think £11 per day is a bit steep for parking on site; personally I believe it should be free when you’re staying at the hotel. Breakfast was fine - typical buffet breakfast. Would have been nice to have more fruit options, and a new (faster) coffee machine is recommended. Otherwise great though.

Breakfast was delicious and I was super happy that they had a section for gluten free only! The only thing I would recommend to improve on is the dinner/restraint service. I ordered a gluten free pizza and I believe there was a bit of cross contamination and ended up having a small reaction to the pizza. Pizza was delicious but careful preparation would have been appreciated

The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was adequate for a "budget" brand hotel and the room was clean and comfortable but extremely small with no chair of any kind - that would be acceptable for a "budget price" but at £300 per night, while the brand may be "budget", the price is certainly not. We used to stay here when it was a fully fledged Holiday Inn. We booked it this time because of the parking (which now has to be paid for) and its location which was convenient for the purpose of our visit. However, we would not return because of the poor value for money - £300 a night for a room not much bigger than a double bed is very poor indeed. It is clear that the Edinburgh location is being exploited to charge outrageous prices. We used to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh Airport because it offered excellent value for money but its prices have risen so much we now go to the Hilton which is much better value - proper 4 star rooms and a proper restaurant.
