Really friendly and helpful staff. Receptionist was very good. Rooms clean and just what you need. Breakfast was really well cooked.

Quite a tired hotel, furniture was very old and worn. However, it was easy to get to using public transport and has easy access to the city centre. Had issues with noise in our room with air conditioners and lift machine rooms being audible from our room. Good rates compared to other local hotels.

I was very disappointed with this hotel. I expected a better experience for the price I paid. The staff is not well trained or attentive. The server at breakfast is rude and unfriendly. The pictures of the hotel in the website are different of what it really looks like. The room I stayed was clean but very basic. No fridge. Wi-Fi and breakfast are available at extra charges.

my room was not cleaned. there was hair in the bathtub, pee on the bottom of the toilet, i found pills and empty zin packages under my bed, handprints on the wall, dirty shower curtain, etc. staff was nice but overall, i felt disgusted in my room. don’t stay here.

The hotel itself was shabby but not unclean. The room was very large and had plenty of storage and a good shower. Bed was alright. Heating worked but made some noises at night. My room was lower ground and there was no lift to that level. There’s one bus every hour that stops right across from the hotel. Besides that you have to walk at least 10 minutes for a bus.

Upon arrival we found black mould, damaged toilet seat, walls, sink, drugs on the side of the table. Dirty towels In bathroom. All in the room that was £94 a night! Spoke to staff they are far more concerned with their own conversations with other staff. Was even laughed at by staff at one point when raising an issue. Would not recommend this to anyone

Personally me and my partner absolutely loved everything abot the hotel. Our room was amazing and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and we will definitely be coming back to stay.

Hotel is ok has everything you need. Walkable distance from the train station and all tourists attractions. And a pleasant walking trail along the Water of Leith to the coast.

It took a long time to check in but staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was clean and comfortable. Plenty to choose from for breakfast and it was OK. Beans could have been hotter. I would be happy to stay there again.

There was hair on the bed when I arrived in my room. I went to the staff and explained to her she changed my room. The room smelt of wet paint and it was difficult finding the hotel from the main road. On the way to the entrance, it looked shady and untidy. I wouldnt reccommend and if i had the chance I wouldnt go back. Not much amendities nearby too and had to use uber eats for food as there was no dinner provided

The best thing about the hotel is location it is tucked away only 15 minute walk from the Castle. The hotel itself is very tired and needs a refit, lack of care shown by been greeted with piles of rubbish to the left of reception. The rooms are roomy but basic If you want somewhere just to sleep and park your car relatively cheap for Edinburgh then this is ideal

Nastiest hotel in UK??? Perhaps bottom ten.
This place is a dump. I booked it because it was near the car rental drop off and that was a mistake. They have WIFI and parking... For a price, deceptively misinforming on here making it look included. I mean seriously, no working wifi at a hotel, then charge for the one that does work. Every crappy coffeeshop offers that. Its like the ryanair of dumpy hotels in this regard. Beyond that, filthy carpets coming in that need vacuumed, rude staff, loads of sketchy guys outside smoking weed, and drama heard in the halls and elevators throughout the night. No security from the appearances of it. Room was run down, dingy, and I wouldn't've been surprised if the place had bed bugs on occasion.

Great value for your money. This is a clean hotel with comfortable beds. It's close enough to the Royal Mile to walk. Nearby village of Dean was nice to stroll through in the morning. Uber Ride to airport was £27.
