Our 1st room (# 423) smelt of feet & the bathroom was dirty. A/C air vent full of dust. We were moved to # 519. No smell & a cleaner bathroom. We were also offered a free dinner on the house as an apology.
BUT bathroom still unacceptably dirty - mould in the corners & dust/dirt in areas which weren't immediately in view e.g. if you moved the tissue container, you found dirt. The sink drained really slowly.
We had 2 queen size beds - one had a double duvet cover as the bottom sheet & the duvet cover itself was far too big for the size of duvet.
Free meal - chicken katsu curry - sauce had no curry in it, it was just carrot sauce. Asked for more sauce & the 2nd serving was lovely. The waitress asked chef why the difference - we were told it was just a different batch! Creme brulee - the brulee had only just been melted so the pot was very hot & the creme was warmed up.
Swimming pool showers (male) - water soon flooded the shower tray. All the drain covers in showers were missing/loose. Changing area had a dirty floor. Steam room had no hose, so couldn't be cleaned down. But you could get bottled water an clean towels, which was great. Pool is small and was often filled with kids, so 'proper' swimming was really difficult. And too much chlorine.
Overall - housekeeping needs a real shake-up. They are just not cleaning properly. Rooms aren't serviced daily (Covid), so it's even more important that they are cleaned well.
Location - central & convenient.
Not 4 star quality.
