"This was one of the better motels we have stayed at. We stayed 8 nights visiting family. It was very convenient to the motorway, just across from the beach and near toJackson streets many Op shops. The unit had everything we needed- a good shower, a comfy bed and clean towels daily. We had some washing done for us reasonably priced. It was collected and returned to us dry same day. We would stay here again."

"Everything catered for our needs. Stayed here a few times. Lady in the office exceeded our needs by allowing us last minute to check in way earlier then allocated time for a fee but that was not a problem as we were in a bunder. So thank you Settlers for your assistance. A++"

"Easy to get to. Everything we needed. The heating isn't very good and when you have it on its loud. I wonder if panel heaters would be a better option. Great to see the double glazing going in."

"Don't be discouraged by the outside appearance of this gem of a place. As soon as you enter you are presented with a spacious, verging on opulent living space. Everything was as listed. Beautifully maintained and clean, we had a cosy couple of nights during some petty awful weather. Underfloor heating, comfortable beds, efficient heating was just what we needed.Only minute criticism was no coffee plunger but everything else was great. I have never seen so many towels in one cupboard and the library was interesting. An added bonus was waking up to the sound of tuis in the trees. Perfect location for places to eat, groceries and an ice cream on the beach. Transport links were a breeze.We chose this place as my son lives and works in Petone (Lighthouse Cinema - worth a visit) and was a pleasant change from staying in the city. Surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend this accommodation."

"It takes a little to get up the stairs, but it's worth the effort for the view alone. The place was clean, tidy and warm. There's some food in the cupboard (we left some as well). The booking process and communication with Kevin and Dreenagh was very pleasant and welcoming. Point Howard is only a short distance to Petone and Lower Hutt, and about 30 plus minutes from the airport (rush hour is a bit longer). Do as much or as little as you want. Just relax... "
