This was a return visit, from my previous experience, I had no hesitation in booking again. This is what I would term as a good family run hotel/guest house, very comfortable, welcoming and with great service. Lovely breakfast.
If or when I return to Dunfermline, I would book again.
We travelled to visit family, and attend a funeral. We found the hosts very accommodating.
Bed was extremely comfortable, facilities just right.
Breakfast wonderful and filling, service excellent.
Check in was really easy, very compliant with coronavirus regulations, great breakfast, soft towels, comfy bed and good pillows - nothing that could have been improved.
Great, friendly owners and staff.
Breakfast was very nice..

Nice small hotel
The owner could not be more helpful to us on arrival. Room needed a little TLC but was comfortable. Overall nice place to stay and close to the sights.
Reception area very nice, cozy. great place to relax after busy day-especially on cold days with fire blazing. Owner very informative of the area, very courteous, friendly and welcoming. Great b&b!
Absolutely brilliant hotel.cant say anything bad about this hotel the hotel was spotless and the rooms have everything you would need. And the breakfast was absolutely brilliant best I have had it was so tasty and brilliantly cooked.Annie and Russell couldn’t do enough for you 10 out of 10 👍👍👍
Beautiful house in central location and hosts went above and beyond to make stay comfortable and welcoming. Will most definitely return in the near future.
Fabulous. Had a lovely front facing large double room with comfortable bed. Service was great and breakfast was fabulous. Would highly recommend and hopefully stay again.
Lovely stay, very comfortable and clean. The shower heat was very unpredictable, was very chilly.
Breakfast was amazing, a suggestion, it might be nice to have some music in the background as it was a bit awkward and quiet feel like you could hear everyone's conversations.
Brilliant! Lovely owners nothing too much trouble. Beautiful big room. Huge bed and so comfortable. Very quiet. Breakfast wow! Really good quality cooked to order and huge!
They don't do evening meals but the place just round the corner they recommended was lovely. Very reasonable good home cooked food.
I can't recommend this hotel enough. I would give 10 stars if I could. Ample fee parking too. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great place
Loved our big bed facing the window x all served us well x Annie our hostess was sparkly and kind and our dog Charlie was allowed a holiday too x close to historic areas and clean and easy parking.
Davaar House is how we thought B+Bs should be. Room was spacious and comfortable the bathroom was a good size, the breakfast had plenty of variety and the hosts were very nice. It was in a good position. Value for money. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
The welcome was warm and friendly. Hotel very clean, but a little dated. I would have thought being in Scotland haggis would have been on the breakfast menu.
Lovely place. Great individual service unlike a big hotel chain. Very friendly and everything you need for an overnight stay. Lovely home cooked breakfast
Excellent location for Edinburgh. Lots of parking and free WiFi. Big old house with lots of character. A few things are needing a bit of love and tender care but don’t let that put you off. No desk in the room I had but there is a large lounge with a bar. En-suite with TV, Tea and Coffee and the USB charging points are a big plus. You are made to feel very welcome and the breakfast is 5 star level. Will stay again without hesitation. Excellent customer service.
My room was very clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was always perfectly cooked and my wife and I were always made to feel welcome. A fantastic place to stay.
Quiet location only a short walk to town centre. Room clean and comfortable and good size. Plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good. Couldn't fault our stay
One night visit. Friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. Good hearty breakfast. TV in the room did not work very well, limited volume control,, but may have been freeview consul. Lots of options to do, walking distance to local shops including superstore. Would use it again if in the area.
Superb breakfast (included in price) and nice warm room; all in a very quiet setting.
Wi-Fi variable especially in room.
Bed was tucked right in under the slanting ceiling with the result that it was impossible to sit up in bed (to watch TV or read), and a bit awkward getting in and out of bed.
(As is usual in Victorian villas there is no lift.)
It was fantastic staying in a country House hotel again. Far more character and personal. Large rooms, clean, quiet, personal service. Also an amazing breakfast.
Davaar is in a lovely quiet location. The owners are lovely and it was a lovely place to stay. It was clean and comfortable. Wifi is great and breakfast cooked to order was yummy.
Very pleasant hotel with good staff, rooms and breakfast. The main lounge was excellent and cosy

We had a great stay. Lovely friendly welcome. Lovely cosy room, bed very comfortable. Loved the lounge with bar and open fire whilst sitting with friends having a drink. Great breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. 😃😊👍👍
Enjoyed our stay, everyone very helpful, breakfast was excellent. Walking distance to Dunfermline city centre and the bus station for easy bus travel to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Livingstone Designer Centre.
