"Nothing to criticize at the hotel, a really pleasant experience, especially the staff. The only slight downside was the empty building sites surrounding the hotel with no sign of imminent development, giving the area a rather neglected feel. However the Gas Street basin area was very close by which was very pleasant."

"If you're looking for a place to stay when you're going to events at the Utilia Arena Birmingham (or even just going into the city centre), then look no further than the Staycity Aparthotel in the Jewellery Quarter....just an easy 10 minute walk down the canalside path to ghe Arena. It was our first time staying in any Staycity Aparthotel, and we were definitely not disappointed. The apartment was well designed, with separate living room and bedroom. The bed was so comfy.......I had the best night's sleep that I've had in a long time. The shower was a decent size, and really powerful too. There is also onsite secure parking too.......there are only a couple of dozen spaces though, so early booking is a must. Breakfast had a good choice, and was plentiful, and ghe staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend this Staycity Aparthotel"

"Booked this hotel at short notice, and I am so glad that I did. The hotel is in prime location. Everything was spotless. Decent breakfast options. Would highly recommend and this will be my go to hotel when next in Birmingham."

"Only comments are how hot our room was and breakfast waiting staff appear to have little serving training. There was a small fan in the room but could do with something more cooling or larger fan. Great facilities and although we didn't eat lunch/dinner, the food looked amazing. Waiting staff lent over us eating to clear plates of our party on a couple, of occasions, also took the fruit as I was picking & barged past us at the servery a few times. However, this experience wont put us off going there again and we will definitely stay there again"

"I think every standard room should have glass wear and tea/coffee , water But I know it’s not only Ibis that cuts down on every need of the guests so they can then charge for those basic services . Check out times keep getting earlier but checkin times keep getting later . This is a general view of mine for almost every Franchised hotel however £30 fee for a night and the cleanness , efficiency, safety of the guests is more than reasonable. I slept very well too."
