"The Slate was a beautiful B&B, the room was very comfortable. Bed was really comfy, quilt and pillows just perfect. Towels were so soft and fluffy, The food was lovely and the staff very helpful. "We were surprised to find that guests have to pay an additional fee for parking. The building is quite old, so the ventilation wasn’t great and the room felt quite stuffy. Even though it was already the end of August, the room still felt quite warm and poorly ventilated. At night, there was also quite a lot of noise coming from the hotel kitchen downstairs, which was quite disturbing. Apart from these points, the staff were all very nice and friendly."
