"This property is a bit difficult to access for the mature travelers walking from the train station. The Barock suite, while fairly large was a bit austere and baroque for our tastes. The service staff was pretty loud when they did their work and the view from the room is a bit limited and unappealing. The central location in the Altstadt area was excellent, however, offsetting the less than positively aspects noted. "

"My stay at the Romantik Hotel Beau Rivage was excellent and everything I needed for travel. The room had a comfortable bed, a refrigerator, and a balcony with a stunning lake view, plus the sauna overlooking the water was a great bonus. The location was perfect—easy check-in, close to a boat cruise and a nearby convenience store—and although there was no microwave, that’s common in Switzerland; overall, it was everything I dreamed it could be."

"Check in was very smooth with the computer in the lobby. Breakfast was great. And yes, the bathroom doors are frosted in the middle, clear otherwise, with no lock, and aren't suitable for families. One of the two air conditioner units worked. The communication by messaging with the hotel was slow, and didn't get resolved before our 2 night stay was completed. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with a couple of issues that weren't deal breakers."

"The owner and staff were always easily accessible, knowledgeable and helpful. Quiet relaxed atmosphere 10 minutes by train from the old historic part of Lucerne and the train was free. My room looked out over horse pastures which was a great departure for the crowed noisy streets of downtown areas. The chef had over 40 years of experience and the dinners he prepared were delicious. Best place I stayed in three countries."

"This hotel was amazing. It was very clean. More than that the service we received was exemplary. We hadn’t booked parking as we thought it would be available. The staff made extra effort to find parking with their sister hotel. Even did valet service for us by, as we found out at checkout, the GM Marc himself! What a wonderful hotel! I would recommend to any family members traveling to Switzerland. "

"Great hotel. Marco and the rest of the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was lovely with eggs made fresh however we liked and freshly squeezed orange juice. Restaurant was also great for dinner. Top place. "
