"Really welcoming staff and a chance to stay in such a historic place in a stunning room. Surrounding Park is beautiful, the children enjoyed the swimming pool."
"We had a fantastic stay here. The chateau and gardens are beautiful, James & Cecile are gracious hosts, and the location is very convenient for wine and chateau visits."
"The property owners are attentive and provide a terrific included breakfast scheduled for the guests convenience. The gated entry provides safe, off-street parking. "
"La chambre est très spacieuse, propre et calme. Le jacuzzi sur la photo était en panne mais nous avons quand même passe un week-end très confortable . "
"Very attentive and pleasant staff. Beautiful chateau, rooms and grounds. Very convenient to Amboise and other areas such as Chenonceau. Fun to have a tennis court. And the pool was especially nice."
"The host was very nice. We had a small and super comfortable cottage. The place and the area where it’s located it’s beautiful. Breakfast was homemade and delicious!"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay, the host/owner Patrick was most courteous and friendly and he ensured our stay was as enjoyable as it could be. The Chateau and grounds were delightful and totally authentic."
"Our stay was so fun! The hotel and room was excellent. Most of all our hosts Erika and Tanya were so friendly and amazing!!! Thank you so much for a great stay!"
"We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well.
One slight downer was we didn’t get asked if we wanted to book tables for dinner in the evenings and one night was fully booked with what must have been non resident...

"Beautiful hotel! Beautiful well appointed room. Comfortable King size bed. Great shower. Wonderful breakfast.
Enjoyed having a couch and coffee table. Separate toilet room.
Would have preferred real coffee cups rather than cardboard cups. Would have liked a shelf or alcove in the shower to hold our soap and shampoo. But everything else was just perfect!"
"The grounds are exquisite! What an estate to be part of even for a short period of time. Staff are professional and helpful…I’m coming back for sure."
"This was an amazing property!! Serene with elegant charm. My husband is an architect and he loved relaxing in the courtyard and sketching. The rooms are all uniquely appointed. The breakfast room is so bright and cheerful and full of warmth that you could spend the morning there just sitting and sipping tea. We will most definitely comeback and stay longer. Thankyou Annelie!"
"Séjour très agréable au Clos du Roc. Bien situé près de Tours, de Chenonceau et d'Ambroise. La propriété est magnifique, les propriétaires sympathiques et le petit-déjeuner très bons. Nous sommes Québécois et c'était notre premier séjour dans la région Centre-Val-de-Loire et nous recommandons fortement cet endroit."
"We rented a mobile home at this campground. It was practically brand new with everything in excellent condition. Despite being close to the city of Tours, the campground was in a quiet setting (during the day!) and easy to get in and out.
The weird part started during our check-in process. We were presented with a long list of everything that was in the mobile home and basically had to sign off that it was indeed there and in specified quantities (six forks, six knives, etc.). Another paper outlined every single thing that needed to be cleaned up before check-out which included making sure there would be no fingerprints left anywhere, floors would need to be wet-cleaned and dry by the check-out time at 10am, etc.
The check-out procedure indeed turned out to be a humiliating experience we have never experienced before. The person (who is likely the owner) came with their cleaner to inspect everything in details in front of us. He was picking up particles from the floors, was lifting and checking the toilet seat, was checking appliances, utensils, EVERYTHING. It makes you wonder why the check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 10am if the cleaning is on customers anyway? Instead of enjoying my morning coffee I literally spent the evening before drying the dishes and the morning cleaning up and removing the fingerprints... That was pretty insane and totally ruined the experience. Had we known this, we would never go there. No surprise their campground is barely occupied."
"We loved staying in this wonderful home in Montlouis-sur-Loire! Everything was clean and in working order, and Pauline included many lovely touches to make it feel like home. I emjoyed cooking dinners in the well-appointed kitchen and our family enjoyed strolling the neighborhood. Very nice stay! Thank you!"
"Hosts/owners went above and beyond to make sure we had all the things we needed. Specifically arriving late on a Sunday evening and needing supper as they supplemented what food we did have.
The location of this place is so good, particularly if you are visiting the various wineries. I loved this place so much that I am trying to figure when to go back and bring all my friends!
Cool, cool art! "
