"Our stay was just perfect in everyway there is a lovely homely feel at this hotel...very quirky and steeped in history The room was very clean, our amenities in our room was very good from the biscuits and tea bags etc to the soap on the sink and the shower stuff and moisturising lotion. The bed comfy and very big.. sheets etc were lovely and clean and laundered. All the staff very pleasant and polite and could not do enough for us during our stay.. we would definitely stay again"

"We have stayed here before and it feels like a home from home to us. We thoroughly appreciate what the owner has done with the decor and furnishings, which are very in keeping with the age of the property and indeed the ambience of Buxton itself. We had our own holiday home here for many many years and it has always felt like life slowed down and stepping back in time when we visited here. The owner of this eclectic apartment has encapsulated the whole experience of the history of Buxton. A very comfortable living museum, with stunning views across the old town. This apartment couldn't fail to impress people who love to sample the delights of a bygone era. Facilities perfect, location exceptional, bed heavenly. This will always be our first choice of accommodation but sadly is rarely available due to it's popularity. Thank you for the Bubbly and chocolate - such a lovely touch 🥂"

"What a fantastic holiday home. There were 11 of us over the weekend and 5 of us in the week with ages ranging from 2 to 72. The whole house was spotless on arrival, the beds comfortable, and there are 2 fridges, a wine fridge, 2 freezers and plenty of storage space. The kitchen is well equipped with cutlery, crockery, pots, pans and utensils.The pool was a massive hit, and we enjoyed using it every day. The games room was also a big hit, and we particularly enjoyed playing pool and darts. The cinema room was enjoyed by our grandchildren and also provided another seating area. The adults enjoyed playing games in the upstairs seating area later in the evening as this area has slightly higher seating and a coffee table for games and drinks.We loved the layout of the house, which is quite quirky and the welcome pack on arrival was a nice touch.There is sufficient parking for 3 cars on the driveway, albeit a little tight, and there was some free parking on the road immediately outside the house.We really enjoyed spending time at the house as well as visiting The Pavilion Gardens, Buxton town, Bakewell and Monsal Head and the stunning Peak District countryside.We would definitely return."
