"An owner-run hotel that is small enough (12 rooms) for the staff to know you and attend to you personally. Rooms may not have the most modern fittings but is big, comfortable, and clean. Has hot water for shower and wifi too. Stayed twice at this hotel recently, both wonderful experiences. Breakfast is served personally: fruit platter, juice, choice of Indian or Western toast, with coffee or tea amidst rooftop dining area with lovely view of sea. Short 200m walk to beach. "The Leela Palace in Chennai is an exceptional hotel. Beautiful setting, attentive staff, clean and fantastic food options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with two young children - Raj from the Butler team was brilliant as well as the chefs Anjan, Bunuma and their teams. The only thing that would have made this even better would have been more things for young children to do eg a games room however they were very content with the beautiful pool "

"We booked to stay at ITC Grand Chola for a friends wedding celebrations and were not disappointed. The hotels is spotless and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The service was second to none. The restaurants within the hotel were resonably priced and served delicious food. the breakfast covered all cuisines and was served from 0600hrs to 1030hrs so plenty of time to get there.
