"Wonderful hotel set in an ancient mansion. Staff were helpful and friendly and focused on improving the guest experience. Wonderful breakfast whether you ordered Western or Chinese. We ate the special set menu dinner. Definitely the best restaurant in Pingyao. Staff had a proficient level of English which enabled us to have a better experience visiting the historical sights in the walled city. Our two night stay was a five star experience."

"My wife and I stayed at the Water Hotel for a few days in early January. The staff upgraded us to a larger room and was overall very helpful, including arranging a pickup at Taiyuan airport and return transportation to the airport. The morning breakfast is delivered to your room a few minutes after you order it. The Hotel is right in the old town and within steps of anything you want to see their. The itself was spacious, clean and with a comfortable bed."
