"The staff, fluent in English, is extremely helpful. The Guest House is unique, richly historic and quiet and central."

"Received a genuinely warm & helpful welcome at this fabulous property. Feels truly authentic while also managing to include all the mod cons expected of a modern hotel. You truly feel you’re staying somewhere unique & temporarily sharing a slice of Chinese history."

"The place is located at South Avenue within the ancient city, near to Pingyao South Gate, or 15min walking distance from Small South Gate (alternative, take buggy for 10yuan). The signage for Hongyuyuan hotel was not obvious, it is easier to find using address. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The place is an ancient building, do not expect perfect heating during winter. Food and massage are nearby, is very convenient. The hotel have an restaurant, the food is not bad"

"Staff very helpful, clean and good location "

"This was a special find. Convenient location - just steps to the gate into old town, restaurants, shops, and the entry steps to the old city wall. The bed was comfortable and the staff were amazing! We felt very at home here. Highly recommend!"

"A traditional and comfortable hotel. Very pleasant stay with good service."

"Free car service from and to train station and airport. Front desk (Sharon Feng) helped to book tickets and taxi. Nice hotel and excellent services."

"房間設備先進和貼心，早餐的資素很好，整体上員工服務態度十分良好。房間寬敞，整潔。除了衛生間灯掣位置欠佳！ 交通和附近的配套也很好！"

"飯店房間的設備不錯，住宿很舒適。但是離市區鬧區都很遠，出門逛街吃飯都要打車比較不便。早餐很好吃。"
