"It was a lovely place to stay. A Victorian villa which still has many original features, including beautiful stained glass windows. The room was clean and tidy and the hosts were most hospitable. There were some lovely touches, such as complimentary drinks and snacks. It was lovely to sit out on the front veranda with a coffee. "Very attractive property with lots of room and best of all, one bedroom in which the 3 boys under 8 could all share. Well equipped, lots of stuff you don't need, but nice to know it's available. Huge fridge and freezer. Nice dining area in the conservatory which we used all the time. Some minor niggles, and let's face it, there are always some! Curtains/blinds let the light in very early, making it harder to sleep a bit longer. There was a lot of dust not cleaned as well as dog hairs , and the...

"Very friendly restaurant staff. Reception team efficient and very helpful. Asked us about a ramp for my son's wheelchair anytime we came in and out of the hotel. Afternoon tea was an excellent experience. Since covid this is the 1st place that did housekeeping which really made us feel we were on a holiday. "

"Long weekend away booked the Ryde Castle. I have stayed before here, for business. This time with my wife. Did not disappoint, fantastic seaview. Great breakfast. The stay was made so welcoming with all the staff especially Charles, reception and the breakfast staff. Basically everyone. Fantastic will book again. "
