Hidden gem

Hotel Idea was rated highly, and I could see why. It is quintessentially European as it is a refit of a very old building, and it is also 100% Balkan, within a cozy corner of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second largest city. I am originally from this region and very much enjoyed authentic foods and nostalgic sights all within minutes of walking.

Nice and very big rooms. Suspect recently built or reno. Good buffet breakfast, friendly staff. Laundry is they quickly wash, dry & fold cloths for a fee, only problem is hotel on a hill so steep walk up and steep decent down which will be an issue for some

Nice i got upgraded. Had nice outdoor terrace for patrons use. Good location in old town. Bit of uphill walk to get there. No lift but only a few levels high. Fresh, clean, good air-conditioning and small fridge. Nice bed and pillows. Would stay again

Good value for money, 40 euros gets you what actually feels like a 4 star hotel (in the room). Extremely busy, huge hotel. Has literally hundreds of rooms. They packed me breakfast in a bag as I had to leave at 4am for a flight, a nice touch. Main downside is the service you get at reception. Huge crowds of people waiting to checkin, no formal waiting line, you wait for ages. Receptionists try to be helpful but aren't really. Final thing, it was my first time in Bosnia and don't know if this...
