Family trip to Daylesford

My husband, daughter and I had a lovely stay. Jo was so nice, left milk in the fridge and asked if we wanted the heating put on before we arrived. The house was so clean, tidy and had all the creature comforts you would have at home. Daylesford is a beautiful place to visit, and we plan to book this place again in the summer. Thank you, Jo for making our stay so wonderful.

Perfect location, spotless home

Absolutely adored our stay at Blue Jay. A perfect 2bedder within walking distance to all the main venues in Daylesford. The home was spotless and well presented. We stayed in winter and the home was easy to warm and felt very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed and made home cooking easy. The water pressure is fabulous in the shower! Little children will need help reaching the bathroom taps but the space was otherwise child friendly. We will happily return again soon.

Lovely house in a quiet street with a friendly host, very close to town.

We had a lovely stay at Blue Jay over the Labor Day weekend. Our host, Jo, contacted me shortly after I made my booking to clarify any questions I might have and made the check-in process very easy. On arrival we were welcomed with a cheese platter and champagne, as well as gentle music and some lights on as we were arriving after dark. The house was very clean and comfortable, the space larger than we were expecting from the online listing. The kitchen is well equipped and the dishwasher made clean up a breeze. The location is excellent, located on a peaceful side street only 5 minutes walk from the main street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again on a future visit to Daylesford. Thank you Jo!

Wonderful first visit

We travelled to Daylesford for the first time in search of relaxation. A slight hiccup when Jo got mixed up with the dates, (thinking we were coming the next day) however we just went for afternoon tea and browsed the lovely stores for a couple of hours until it was ready. The recently renovated inside of the property was extremely clean and exceeded expectations, don’t be put off by the outside. It was a very quiet neighborhood and us two girls felt safe. If I had to find any (slight) negatives, the beds are on the soft side (Dani’s for rooms appreciated)and the seating options in the lounge are all uncomfortable, particularly when you want to lounge around after the many massages and treatments Daylesford has on offer. We would both, however recommend this property and stay again.

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE

We arrived at what appeared to be a small, neat older style home unit in a nice street. Opened the door… music was playing, the heating was turned on and the essential oil diffuser wafted a lovely aroma... What an EXCEPTIONAL home! We have stayed in a number of places in Daylesford over the years, but this is the best! Jo has done a superlative renovation job, using top quality materials and decor items to create one of the most beautiful, comprehensively equipped places we have stayed in. The spacious longe/dining area has vaulted ceilings and big windows to let the light in. There are beautiful comfortable lounge chairs, a simulated log fire, a huge TV…too many extras to list. The bedrooms are warm and comfy. The bathroom is ultra modern. The kitchen is a dream with a huge double door fridge, glass cooktop, new oven and stacks of utensils, modern cutlery and crockery. Jo is a considerate, helpful and delightful host. For example: the microwave died and Jo delivered a new replacement that very afternoon. She is so positive. We had the BEST, most COMFORTABLE week here. It’s impossible to list all the extra inclusions that made this stay unique for us. Thank you Jo for a marvellous stay. We hope to return next year.

Amazing house, location, and host!

Blue Jay is a recently renovated unit in a quiet residential street right near the heart of Daylesford. It has been beautifully renovated - everything is immaculate! Amazing kitchen and bathroom, with spectacular water pressure… smart TVs in living and bedrooms with Netflix available.. comfortable beds.. everything was great. Jo is a lovely host who was easy to get a hold of and was very accommodating and helpful. Honestly couldn’t have been better!

very comfortable property

ignore the front of the house. Jo, the owner, has modernized the property with new kitchen, bathroom with modern appliances and fittings. the bed is comfortable. the furnishings are conservative but tasteful with two large armchairs, couch and glasstop dining table with 6 cloth covered chairs. the kitchen utensils and crockery are not ordinary but stylish. Jo has given a lot of thought to the inside. the house is also not far from the main street and various restaurants. we recommend it.
