Cairns Plaza Hotel
8/10 Good
"The room was clean, with a big double balcony overlooking the esplanade. The bed was comfy and housekeeping were attentive. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pool was well maintained - small but ideal for cooling off after a long day exploring the area. Kitchen facilities were as advertised, no cooker but a microwave and full size fridge. Muddys cafe over the road is ideal for a coffee, breakfast or evening bite."
Cairns Colonial Club Resort

"Had a great 12 days at Cairns Colonial Club over the recent school holidays. The kids enjoyed the pool area and making new friends every day. The convenience of a cafe, bar, pizza place and also breakfast buffet were great to integrate across our holiday when we weren’t out sight seeing. The rooms were always cleaned regularly and well, the staff always so helpful. Would be great to have slightly better storage solutions in the room, as we lived out of the suitcases instead of being able to put clothes away in a draw. Other than that - highly recommend and would love to visit again on our next trip up."

"Fantastic hotel. Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, great location! My only issue was the Smurf size ironing board. When trying to iron business clothes on a Smurf size ironing board it is very difficult. Please get normal size ironing boards. Other than that; the hotel is great!"

"We loved our time in Palm Cove, the pools were a hit with the kids and the apartments are a short walk to the cafes and beach. Hotel manager was super helpful."
