"Good location with plenty of parking available. Free WiFi is offered, although the login page wasn’t working during my stay—I was given a password at reception instead. The plastic mattress cover was uncomfortable and caused sweating overnight; I would remove it if staying more than one night. Also, Christmas decorations were trying to be concealed near the main entrance, which felt a bit untidy."

"We decided last minute to go to Dahlonega just for one night. We decided on The Smith House because it was in town and we could walk wherever we wanted to go. The room was a king room in the lodge but did not have a balcony like the ones in front. We had a small window that faced the parking garage. The parking was ok. With all the weddings and parties we were able to get a good spot. The room was very comfortable. The only bad thing was that the shower stopper would not stay up so my husband was standing in a bath tub filled with water as he was taking a shower. I would highly reccommend staying here as we would love to again. Only be sure to ask for a balcony if you want to sit and relax in a rocking chair."

"I’m extremely disappointed with my stay. I specifically chose this hotel—and justified paying $440—for the rooftop area and gym, only to find out both were closed with zero prior notification. That alone felt misleading. Unfortunately, the issues didn’t stop there. The cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. There was visible blood on the bathroom wall, and a washcloth had what appeared to be leftover mascara or makeup on it. That is basic housekeeping that should never be overlooked, especially at this price point. I raised these concerns during my stay and requested to speak with a manager, but never received a follow-up. The lack of responsiveness only made the experience worse. Between unavailable amenities, poor cleanliness, and no customer service recovery, this stay did not come close to the standard being advertised. I would not stay here again and would caution others to confirm amenities and cleanliness expectations before booking."
