"The property is in an excellent position as it's only a short walk to the shopping centre, bars & restaurants. It has a multistorey carpark with an entrance close to the hotel entrance.
The hotel is very well presented in the bar & reception areas. The breakfast area was excellent with very good service from the staff.
The twin room we had was a good size & very clean. The room & bathroom are getting close to needing refurbishment but are perfectly funtional if you are not looking for extra luxuries like toiletries etc.
I would stay here again as it is perfectly placed for a visit to the Skydome to watch my team play ice hockey."
"Great welcome at reception. Accessible room allocated as requested. In my opinion, there is a design flaw in the bathroom, as the 'accessible' toilet is positioned too low to be accessible and is too close to the hand basin. The shower was more of a trickle than a shower, albeit hot, and I've had worse showers, so it's not worth complaining about, just an observation. We ate at the restaurant in the evening - a very pleasant experience with attentive staff. Sadly, the same could not be said about breakfast. A few staff members mingling about, not offering hot beverages. You had to 'flag them down' and wait for hot drinks. I noted several tables waiting, and it wasn't overly busy. Tables weren't wiped down in between customers, cutlery was just rearranged, and the idea of a large jug of milk left on tables for subsequent customers is just not nice and possibly unhygienic. The English breakfast food was hot except for the scrambled egg, which was supplied in such vast quantities that it inevitably became cold quickly. All in all such a shame after a very positive experience the evening before."
"Our window didn’t shut properly and the room was freezing when we got there as the window had been left open, probably to let the awful smell from the bathroom out. However we closed the windows the best we could and put the oil radiator on and it had warmed up a couple of hours. But it was good value for the price."
"i never used the bar or dinning area as only stayed one night and ate at work. For me after hard day at work its about the room. The shower was hot and powerful and the bed was large and comfy. There was tea and coffee in the room and if i had one criticism only had brown sugar which is fine in coffee not so great in tea"
"There was sufficient work and rest space, and all amenities were in place. It was close to transport and shops, a home away from home. But 10am check out time seemed a bit like jumping out of bed, straight to the street! And the check-in time is 4pm. It might work better for check-out time to be 11am, and check-out time, 3pm, like several other facilities. This is now my go-to place for stays in Coventry. "
