"Stayed at the hotel as I was attending a birthday party in nearby Earls Colne. The hotel was easy to find and location to the village was excellent. Staff were so helpful from check in to check out. Was a slight issue with my room during my stay but this was sorted expeditiously by the duty manager and housekeeping. Would recommend a stay here and would certainly stay again next time I visit the area. "

"Convenient if you have a really early flight from Stansted as it is a very short walk to the terminal. I booked a runway view room but I wasn't lucky enough to actually see any runway action from the planes. In fact it was completely empty in my view and I could only see planes parked far in the distance. It was more of a “plane parking view” rather than a “runway view”"

"Love this hotel and stay here whenever visiting Colchester for weekends away. Very quaint with lots of charm and character. We always stay in older part of hotel and find the rooms much nicer there. Would highly recommend staying here "
