"One of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. Staff are fantastic - so helpful and friendly. I had a problem with my shower flooding. Maintenance tried to fix it but couldn't so I was immediately given a new room. I was even offered a staff member to help me move. There is a gym, a pool and a snooker room. Bar is well staffed with a good range of beverages. Prices are not unreasonable for a hotel and service is very good. Bar food is also available. Restaurant food is good and wait staff helpful. Prices are reasonable for a hotel of this size. Breakfast is buffet style. Food kept hot and refreshed regularly. Plenty of options, full English or continental or a mix of both (I like to have a bit of both) so something for everyone. I was staying for a car show at the NEC and the hotel is conveniently located for this venue. I needed cabs to get me there and back the cost was around £10 each way. However it is walkable via a back route it takes around 10 to 15 minutes depending on your pace. I have stayed at this hotel before and will happily stay at the Arden again."

"My recent stay at The Orchard Hotel in Nottingham was exceptional in every sense. Having stayed here before and enjoyed such a fantastic experience, I chose to return — and once again, it proved to be the right decision. When travelling, the hotel you choose matters. A superb hotel adds greatly to your day, gives you confidence, and helps you deliver successfully in your tasks. The Orchard does exactly that. The staff were outstanding — attentive, professional, and genuinely willing to go above and beyond when needed. In some hotels, service can feel divided, but here I felt fully valued and looked after throughout my stay. The room was excellent and felt like a real upgrade from my previous visit — spacious, comfortable, and finished to a very high standard. The food was also amazing: beautifully presented, carefully prepared, and of excellent quality. Everything — the staff, the location, the food, and the room — was exceptional. Although there was some noise from the room next door, it did not take away from what was otherwise an excellent stay. I highly recommend The Orchard Hotel to anyone visiting Nottingham. "Even though I booked a single room it still felt very small considering what I'd been charged and the bathroom was tiny. Bedroom had no window so felt a bit like a prison. Bathroom window had a blind but no blackout curtain, and the bathroom door had a window, so light from outside streamed into bedroom and woke me up earlier than I'd planned. Had to put towel over bathroom door to block out light. Not enough room to hang clothes in wardrobe because there was a fan and an ironing board in the way. Bed was comfortable, had an undisturbed night sleep, however could hear music through the walls or ceiling from around 8, either from other guests or I think the cleaners must have started early. Breakfast was unremarkable, coffee in cafetiere had gone cold, and they'd run out of fruit and hadn't replenished it. No choice of pastries, just croissant. A very nice lady brought me a fresh coffee from the bar."

"Lovely hotel but the floor in the swimming pool changing room is very slippery. I fell over and hurt my arm and hip. Staff very helpful, but floor an accident waiting to happen. "
