"The hotel was fascinating with its history on display through pictures, art, antiques and the quirkiness of a centuries old building. We enjoyed Sunday roast dinner and the full breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful with local advice. Our room was a mixture of antique decorations and a very modern bathroom filled with amenities. It was the perfect base for exploring the surrounding countryside and our crazy experiences at the famous cheese roll. I highly recommend a stay!"

"We had a fabulous stay, the only niggles we had were the coffee provided is coffee bags and weak at best, and there were little options for someone with lactose intolerance, however that said this didn’t dampen our stay. The room was amazing, cute and cosy, the members of staff that we interacted with were all friendly, the two young male staff members were very attentive and friendly, making us feel very welcome indeed "

"Great breakfast and evening meal, however breakfast on our last day was very dissapointing, overcooked eggs and clearly a different chef from the previous day. The hotel states light cleaning is carried out during your stay but our bed wasnt made and the dirty cups not cleaned. We found this very dissapointing, the only thing the housekeeping did was empty the bin and refill the tea bags, we would of much preferred the bed making. We had a junior four poster room in the main building it was...
